Everything! Good beds, clean, close to the trekking routes, water refill, helpful people, chill and good vibe. Totally recommend to stay!

Great for a short stay.

Great check-in + staff experience. Facilities were adequate.

Amenities could do with a little upgrade, since the charges aren't really "down to the ground".

Amazing staff and management. Ten minutes walk from the Golden Temple

The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful and genuine. They go out of their way to help you.

While only a short walk 10 min walk from the Golden Temple, it was not in the thick of the tourisy area, so didn't have many food options too close. They did have a nice cafe with basic options

It was a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend it to others.

The location is perfect, and the property is clean and i loved the food. I really liked the environment, quieter than most of the hostels around giving you your space and privacy. Met Nitin from the staff, he was very courteous and polite. Helped us through out the stay.

The only thing i felt is the kitchen being on the terrace. Bonfire and other group activities are also secluded at the top that in result limits the engagement of guests.

Doesn't match up to the 8+ reviews it has on google.

Shalom backpackers didnt really match up to the ratings it has on google and elsewhere. The location is good but I didn't find the staff very helpful (kitchen staff was really good). Some lockers were broken, and had to change rooms. The overall vibe of the place was also not very lively...

A Room with a View

The private room was outstanding!!! The most comfortable bed I've had in India, sparkling clean, a balcony overlooking the valley, and large. Great, helpful staff who organize fun activities,and you can't get closer to the mountains for trekking. There were good common spaces as well.

The dogs outside have barking wars during the night.
