Good value hotel close to local amenities

Friendly staff, large but cosy room. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with lots of hot water. TV and tea/ coffee making facilities. Good location close to Kelvingrove and park. Lots of pubs and restaurants close by. Good value for money.

Awful!

My beloved Glasgow doesnt deserve such an awful place to stay

WARNING! Be far from this place as far as possible. I booked the hotel from 13-20th December, 2023. But I left after 3 nights. It was the awful experience. The heating (in December!) worked only temporarily. I asked why it was so cold in the room. All three days they told me different stories: something wrong, another client asked us to switch off the heating, we have a very efficient system which had a timer to switch off. So, on the third night i woke up from cold at 2 am. I decided to move to another hotel (it was the best decision i made). At the checkout, a man on reception desk told me that it was only my problems. They refused to refund the rest 4 nights. And even the customer service of Booking.com wrote them twice. They were not cooperative with them as wee, refusing to discuss a refund. I unluckily prepaid my breakfasts at the hotel. When you do it for a stay in December, you dream about mornings coffee in a comfort atmosphere. NO!!!! Breakfast was available at the other hotel, across the road. There was no warning about it when booking. The breakfast was very! average with awful coffee. Some other details of the stay: a weird smell in bathroom, a very old bed linen, very tired dirty carpet in the room

Welcoming and comfortable stay

Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Room was comfortable and warm. It was on the ground floor close to the entrance so thought it might be noisy but it wasn't at all. Great location to the city centre, but also a lot of places for food and drink very close by. Very close to Kelvingrove park which has nice walks.

The private bathroom for the room I had was downstairs in the basement level which was a little inconvenient, but the bathroom was very clean.
