Royal Thai Villas

I loved the villas! We had Villa Chiang Mai, which was newly renovated in Jan 2022 and you could see it was all brand new, super clean I loved the huge bathroom and in general the space in house. The ambiance is amazing, they have an immaculate attention to detail and you do feel royal anywhere on the property. They offer a mosquito gadget and spray They have massage service and OMG the coconut oil massage is divine!! Me and my boyfriend had it twice. The air conditioning is brand new, super quiet And doesn't blow on the bed which is amazing! They offer all toiletries, robes, flipflops, extra beach towels, 3 shower towels per person, complimentary water every day. On the first day we got a free plate of fruit. It was picobello clean and the bed was very comfortable. When you get a chance to talk to the staff, they are friendly and helpful and really try to accommodate you.

The reception is mostly empty so it is quite difficult to get someone to ask questions, check-in is only until 10 pm then the main door closes (they were nice enough to wait for us until 12 am since our flight had 3h delay...) - you can enter after 10 pm after getting your key. The restaurant closes at 8 pm and doesn't have fresh food (all frozen and then prepared freshly when ordered) - this bothered a lot since a 4 star hotel should offer better quality food and be open until 10 pm... The breakfast is only either eggs with toast OR rice and yogurt with granola, it is NOT a buffet. This brothered me the most, since the place is really expensive, they could offer a small buffet and let people choose what they want to eat and how much... While hanging out at the pool, there is no drinks service, you have to go inside the restaurant to place the drinks order. I believe they should improve the service and breakfast for the price they ask....

the property is run down, not properly cleaned nor maintained. the only person available at the hotel to ask info to is a lady who pretty much doesnt speak a word of English. if you need to ask anything, theyll give you the WhatsApp number of the manager. The beach in the photos is pretty much non existent and left dirty with plastic bags, bottles and general rubbish. There is no one at night and the day we arrived the restaurant closed at 8pm without providing any notice, so had to call pizza delivery in order to have something to eat. bear also in mind, breakfast starts at 8:30am (!!) and its NOT a buffet, youll be given a little piece of paper where to cross 3 items from a list of scrambled eggs and general breakfast items. the only redeeming feature was the little lady who worked in the restaurant, who was amazing! Id seriously suggest avoiding this place

Amazing journey in a true Thai style. All around the beauty even in the sea, not the wonderful bays that everyone is used to jump in, but a long narrow deserted beach where you can also swim, only in the morning and night but fair enough, the bay here is only a meter deep for at least 300 m. only a few hours a day, due to the strong tide this side of the island has. This seaside has informal Thai harbors and fishermen looking for crabs on the sand when the sea is wide twice a day. nice to see ... true. That's why Royal Thai Villa is here. the neighborhood around is made up of Thais and some other amall resort and restaurants and resonably frequented by tourists. Let's come to the house... Because this is almast an house, the owner now lives there and you can observe her style with her guests in the nice garden and in the swimming pool that we all share. it's not a fantastic new swimming pool that has just been refurbished, but even that counts for little because it's your pool in your garden. the reason is simple, there aren't hundreds of rooms but only 7 beautiful house-rooms-villas connected by a sitting room on the patio, where the reception also takes place. obviously almost always empty, there aren't hundreds of people around. All surraunded by a gorgeous garden not big not small, the wright size, we were bringing bouquet of flowers for our room each day by ourselves.. a good idea to bring the wonderfull smell of the frangipani in the room. The rooms: wonderful, furnished with large collections of original furniture and objects, dim light everywhere which can be for someone a problem, but it's nice considering the revisited style of the local architecture, they are improving with mosquito nets, it could be a bit better in this matter, the new air conditioning systems helps anyway a lot, the beds and mattresses are very comfortable. No windows but only shutters at the window. The drinks in the fridge are included in the price.
