Nice atmosphere room, but did not meet our expectations

We used the hotel lobby a lot, and we enjoyed the bar that was open until late evening. Beautifully decorated and always seats available. The lady who served us was really lovely, friendly, and attentive all the time we visited the bar/lounge area. I do not recall her name, but I remember her saying she was from France and she had started recently working there. She was amazing and very patient with all the customers whilst being extremely busy all the time we were there (New years ski holidays), and she was all by herself-no other members of staff assisting the bar!

The room given was in the second building closer to the bus station. It was terribly noisy because of the trains all night long. The room did not have enough lights, so it was generally dark, but I suppose this was part of its decoration. I found a toothpick on the floor next to my bedside from a previous room visitor, and the next day, when we asked for room cleaning service, they picked it from the floor and left it ON my bedside table. I was fuming I had to clean the area with antiseptic spray myself. Finally, we found centipedes on our bathroom towels that were on the floor three nights in a row. They were small ones, and we couldn't understand how they were getting in, and we, of course, couldn't use the towels afterwards.

Money has been stolen from the wallet. My wallet has been left in my room, inside the bag, which was in the wardrobe. On our first day of stay, we had suspicious incident that the cleaner came to our room at about 4pm to check if the room needs to be cleaned. As we currently staying in it, we turned her away, and thought to ourselves that 4pm is very strange time to come and clean the room.

Lovely hotel and great location.

Excellent location and comfort. Good restaurant on site. Nice Christmas atmosphere and decorations.

Building works in the main part I asked to change rooms and it was done very quickly.

deep hole in the wallet.

the only thing good about this hotel is that it is aesthetically pleasing (in the reception and lobby) also that it is in a good location city centre access to tram, coach, and train station by foot

found the staff to be VERY rude, my executive room was filthy never came with the perks promised as written on booking, no mini bar in room just 1 small bottle of water between 3 people, extra CHARGES ONCE I ARRIVED?! City taxes and more Already Paid online for the tax and paid 500 for 2 nights !! Not a great value for money if your plans are to ski in Chamonix youre best off booking a hotel there as it is cheaper and more to do
