Your Home away from your Home! - Truly enjoyed our stay at this place!

Mr Vinay and Mrs Shilpa our hosts took hospitality to a entirely new level. They were humble, brilliant and truly outstanding hosts. Right from the start of our journey, Shilpa was very proactive in communicating with us for the proper map and directions to their property. Since the property is located in the middle of no where, without guidance and soley relying on google map can cost you extra time. But Shilpa's directions on WhatsApp message were crystal clear which helped us to take shortcuts which the Google Maps don't show up. Also during our stay, we were looked upon like be belong some royal clan! All of their staff is well trained to give Customer Delight a new meaning. Shout out to Karthik who made sure that during my stay i am fed like crazy and gain minimum 5 kg of weight :) At Night, Mr Vinay organizes Camp Fire and a DJ Night to make sure that the guests are having a great time. In short, entire Riyavar team under the leadership of Vinay and Shilpa gave very specific and meticulous attention to all the minor ( sometimes trivial as well) things which can make traveler's life very comfortable. So definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants life in solace in the midst of forest but still in midst of Home!

1. The Water Geyser in the bathroom acts weirdly at times. We didn't get hot water in the morning for the entire duration of our stay. But yes the same geyser works fine in the morning. So something which can be looked into by the Property owners. 2. The hook in the Bathroom to hang the clothes is located a bit on the higher side. So for ease of usage, it can be lower so that the kids and people with short height can also use it. 3. The last stretch of 7 km from the Main Road towards the Property is very tricky. Its a single vehicle road (narrow stretch) and during rainy times, it can easily become a nightmare for the drivers who are not used to drive on the hill top or forest areas! So for two vehicles to cross each other at the same time, you need to have some great navigational driving skills.

The staff is lovely and always here to answer your queries. I appreciated that they cooked non spicy food for me. Breakfast and dinner were very good and of very good quality. Comfortable rooms with everything needed and super clean. Nice scenery around the homestay which is in the middle of the forest and plantations.

The price is a little high knowing that it's in the middle of nowhere. If you come with an extra guest, they can only sleep on the sofa which is not very large. So make sure you book an extra room if you don't plan to sleep in the same bed with your friend but want to share the same room. I guess providing a real bed for an extra person in the room would be better. Knowing that extra money is charged for the extra guest, I think this is the minimum that should be provided. Something the owner needs to think about for a better experience.

Delightful and loved the food and the hospitality.

Our stay at Riyavar was fabulous with warm hospitable hosts in Vinay & Shilpa, very clean rooms, awesome food with lip smacking Coorgi cuisine, calm and serene environs, also enjoyed the drive through their plantation which is close by. Will definitely recommend them for a weekend or a couple of nights stay and we too look forward to making a trip in the future. Shout out to their staff - Goutam & Sandeep who took very good care of us. Thumbs up and wish them all the very best!!! Cheers!!!

The hangers on the bathroom doors could be a little lower to facilitate ease in reach....nothing more
