Was a mistake to pick this property. Stay away!

Breakfast was good. The drivers of the vehicle was very kind and more helpful than rest of support stuff.

- This hotel showed tendency to squeeze money from guest with very poor service. - The property is not maintained well. We had rats showed up in room and the shower handle was broken. - The bathtub and bathroom had visible stains. We saw dew formed inside our windows. - The hotel provided very expensive ( Rs 15000/ for a 2 hr boat trip/ 6600 for mandir visit in addition to VIP entrance fee!!) yet very poor travel service. The provided guide was not know-legible much about Banaras and did not plan the trip well. We had to face hassle with small kids. - I had friend first time came from Japan with lots of expectations but we were not satisfied with most of the things hotel offered. - The TADKA restaurant was unreasonably expensive with ordinary food.

Excellent and memorable stay

Excellent perceptive and efficient staff - in food and leverages (platter restaurant and bar), housekeeping and reception. Breakfast is really delicious and excellent value for money.

Some parts of hotel need renovation-which appears to be on way. We were not particularly disturbed by it on level 5.

Worst Experience, dont ever try this property

Just the location was the plus point

Worst ever franchised property of the brand. Gala dinner was compulsory and not at all value for money. We had the worst experience with the food, one of the item had worms ................ not exaggerating at all. When complained to the management, the flung the entire item from the buffet before even we could take video. When asked for General Manager of the property, the staff kept diverting. We infact have video where the staff confronted of having worms in the dish. The other day we simply asked to refund the Gala Dinner money since we didnt consume food thereafter but the staff refused. Rooms - were not upto the brand standards. Bathroom - at its worst condition.

Would not recommend as property is old and staff unable to help.

Known chain of hotels

The property is old. There were mosquitoes in the room at night. The air conditioning was very very noisy. Could not get proper sleep at all.

Rooms are old,stinky. Washrooms are pathetic. Bathtub have cracks and stains on them. Washrooms are size of a matchbox and do not have hand shower and separate shower cubicle. The property is rundown. Definitely not 5 star standards. Will advise to look for other options like Madin n taj which are far better.
