Beautiful clean hotel with great breakfast in a good location for exploring Chiang Mai. I was super happy with my choice and will stay here again if my travels take me back here.

Perfect location and fantastic staff - would recommend to anyone!

Really great hotel in an ideal location. The sustainability focus is apparent and done well. The breakfast was generous and varied daily and the availability of coffee and snacks 24/7 is a great touch. The pool was great, perfect temperature and very clean. We stayed here when the hotel was full but it did not feel crowded. Staff are excellent and went above and beyond - for example bringing out mosquito repellent when we were sitting outside at night.

We loved our stay at POR Thapae Gate, we just couldn't have chosen better!

Everything was excellent, from comfort, facilities, staff, breakfast to the very central location of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and gave us even suggestions about our daily activities, we really enjoyed talking with them about the Thai culture. The breakfast was amazing!

It was really perfect, nothing to complain about.

Great value for money and top location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Por Thapea Gate and would come back. We stayed here 4 nights in December 2023. The value for money here was just right! The location of the hotel was also top, the Sunday Night Market is just outside on the street, 1 minute walking distance. It was still quiet at night. The rooms were not very big but had everything one needed and were clean! You get unlimited water and even fruit daily from the fridge in the lobby. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered some local dishes, different kinds of bread, fresh fruit and juices and more.

Would highly recommend this hotel

Excellent, so far glad we chose this hotel Location - so close to Thapae gate where most activities are especially the Sunday market. We were there on NY eve and there were a live concert and lanterns floating at the gate The hotel provides fresh fruits (mangoes, water melon, dragon and passion fruits), coffee, tea and water all day round. Its so nice to have fresh fruits after we came back from a trip or long walk. There is a water refill station at each floor The breakfasts were delicious. Plenty of varieties: hot thai food, banana sticky rice in banana leaves and a wide range of western food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked a private driver for us to take go to Doi Suthep. They can arrange day tours as well and its best to book them once youre in Chiang Mai

Best staff for sure at this hotel

You cant find a better location than this small chic boutique hotel right smack in the middle of the beautiful old city, but far enough from the busy Main Street so you are away from the hustle and bustle The rooms are small but have everything you need for your stay in Chiang Mai. The bed was so comfortable that I didnt want you to get up in the morning. The staff will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is fantastic and so delicious, from local to western options. There are also plenty of Vegetarian friendly options. Their laundry service is quick, very affordable and amazing. We walked all over the city from here and did the 2 day, 10 temples a day tour on our own. Its so worth it.

Very comfortable and clean place, in a good spot.

I love the all day coffee, snacks and free flow fruits, makes one feel right at home. Staff were really helpful, esp Kie who helped me with some tour bookings, she really went all out to get the one I preferred. Special thanks to her. Room with bathtub was really nice and spacious.

Nothing. Would be nice if there is bath salt to go with the bathtub. Bed could have been a bit firmer, but its a personal thing.

Would come back again!

The location was easy to access. The staff was the friendliest - always helping with bookings, recommendations etc. They had free bicycles we could use, unlimited free fruits, tea and coffee. We enjoyed our stay.

The only thing we didnt like was the lack of vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast. Had to survive on bread and fruits!
