Exceptional

The oldest 5 star hotel in Sri Lanka

Comfortable rooms, beautiful, several restaurants and bars and very friendly staff. They also let me check in early and did not charge extra.

Overall experience is bad wont recommend it.

There is nothing much to like. Location was pretty good but property needs some major revamping.

Official check-in was at 2 pm but only a room was ready when we checked in. We waited till 6:30 pm to get the other 2 rooms. The staff was very unenthusiastic, not suitable for a hospitality job. Nobody seemed pleasant or happy for some reason. The cleanliness was well under the 4-star level, there was a strong odour from bed linen and the toilet was not cleaned properly. Did not have any towels in the room. Dinner was okay but the breakfast was hopeless. Most of the dishes were empty when we went to at 8:30 am and the breakfast was from 7:30-10 am. Overall experience is bad wont recommend it.

Value for money for a quick stop

The hotel has its own (very beautiful) beach. The property is extremely clean, and many rooms open out onto the garden. The staff are (like in all of Sri Lanka) extremely nice. The room was big, clean and comfortable.

The access to the location is through poor roads. The hotel does not have an elevator, so it's very difficult for people with mobility issues. Breakfast options are very limited and not good quality. There is no room or restaurant service late at night. The minibar is empty.

Superb

Excellent large room (I'm referring to the connected family room towards the beach front). Clean and friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. They have a very large car park.

Pool is relatively small to such a large hotel.

Exceeded the the expectation for the price.

For the price, the stay was exceptional. Good food variety. tasty. staff was helpful. room was comfy. I think recently renovated. everything was more than satisfactory for the price. Location was very good. beach, colombo city view all are good. nice swimming pool. Its good experience..

coz of Day out people, It was little bit crowded on that saturday. Nothing else...
