Very good

Good location, lacking customer service.

The location was good, near the station and easy to access. The hotel rooms were nice and clean.

The hotel staff were not very approachable or attentive. The location was good, but the entrance was hard to find. When we arrived, we had to wait half an hour before we could check-in. There was nobody else there, but the staff ignored us. The bar staff were never at the bar - it was so hard to get a drink.

Disappointing

Low quality. Similar to holiday inn or ibis - Wouldnt stay again. Wouldnt recommend.

The furniture of the lobby is ugly and mismatching

Lobby is ugly- looks like ibis hotel or holiday inn. Very disappointing. There are ugly tall tables in front of the ugly reception desk. Please rethink the decor. The staff were basic in general. I arrived after midnight on one day and there was nobody at the reception desk to let me inside- even after pressing the bell numerous times. A guest sitting in the lobby heard me banging on the door and had to let me in. I would not stay in this hotel again, and I would not recommend Novotel hotels to my friends or family - felt very low quality. Additionally , every time I asked for water from the reception I was told that the tap water was adequate. Your staff are rude, my partner is pregnant and doesnt want to drink tap water. Thank you.

Really occupied, the hotel was fully booked and really bussy (which is good!), but even with 3 elevators still waithing a bit.

Very poor

Juxtaposed. Awesome breakfast, gym and location, terrible customer service and the heat was too much to sleep.

The breakfast was great, the kids play room was awesome and we loved working out in the top floor gym

It was -5 and snowing outside, but the hotel was so ridiculously hot and there was no way of turning down the heat in the room. For 4 nights I lay shirtless with the windows wide open, in a pool of sweat from being so hot. I didnt sleep for four nights. The hotel was majorly understaffed. Getting a wine from the bar was near impossible, despite the bar being empty. And the check in line was insanely long everyday. When we arrived after two days of travelling from australia with two small children, we were told our room wasnt ready. So we had lunch and a wine. The staff and team had completely forgotten about us. By this time the line was around an hour long to check in, and lots of people had been given rooms. An hour and a half later I butted in the line, much to the annoyance of all of those checking in, who didnt realise Id had actually checked in 90 mins earlier. The manager admitted we had been forgotten about. But didnt do much to apologise. I would definitely not stay here again.

Disappointing

Very close to train station

Loaction was good and very close to train station, which was important for us. Convenient for sitghseeing by using trams. Most satff were nice and friednly. Someone helped me find operating supermarket, while most of them were closed due to public holiday.

One staff was in a businesslike tone, rather than welcoming atmosphere (maybe too busy at Xmas holiday season?). Breakfast was better in other Novotel hotels (UK, Germany). When we were going out in early afternoon, all the elevators didn't work. As a cleaning staff passed by, we sought her support to check with hotel staff (note that no phone to front desk in room) but she declined as it is out of her scope. Then, we including kids had to use stairs from 11th floor to ground floor... Maybe we are a bit unfortunate.

it was excellent and I will probably stay there on my next visit to Wien.

the breakfast very good. a great selection of healthy food choices. Novotel location was exceptional. very close to the main train station, bus, tram and underground. it was also walking distances to downtown and the Belvedere castle, museum and the botanical garden.

there was nothing that I didn't like about my stay at the Novotel
