- incredibly noisy. Bangkok can be a chaotic place but this hotel is truely something else. The deluxe-rooms are all on the streetside right above the restaurants, (weirdly enough the dormrooms are more conveniently located). The isolation of the building is horrible, (big holes in the windowframe) so it sounds like your bed is in the middle of the street. In this part of town thats a big problem if youre looking to get some nights rest.
- There is a traffic controller up the street that uses a loud whistle from morning till midnight, add it to the thundering traffic and the sounds of restaurants closing after midnight and opening early morning and youll have to be an excellent sleeper to doze off.
- Weird fungal smells regularly rise up from the shower
- One afternoon, workers climbed onto my balcony unannounced and because the curtains barely cover the windows they were looking right into my room.
- the private bathrooom has a floor thats made of raw uneven concrete that doesnt drain, so youll sit on the toilet with your feet in a puddle
This is one of those places you warn people to stay away from. There are far better options in this pricerange.
