Highly recommended for a stay in Kathmandu. Would stay again.

We loved this hotel which was an oasis in noisy, busy Kathmandu. The hotel and rooms were decorated tastefully with Nepalese artifacts and trinkets, and were very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, quiet (unlike noisy Thamel where we stayed previously) and we slept well. The foyer was very welcoming with fresh flowers in water bowls and other decorative elements. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh (omelettes, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal and very good coffee) and we enjoyed having it on the rooftop deck each morning, which was a great way to start the day. All the staff were very friendly and the manager, Dev, and his assistant were very helpful in organising a car (EV-impressive) and driver, taxis and laundry, all for reasonable rates. It was lovely coming back to the hotel each day after hectic, full days sightseeing. The hotel is in a residential area just 10 min walk to Thamel, but much quieter. Some may not be keen on the location, but it was interesting to see residential Kathmandu outside the noisy, busy tourist area eg we got to see/watch pre-school children singing each morning, and residents going about their daily business.

Fantastic stay, right from the taxi pick up the airport to arranging a jeep to take us out to the mountains trekking

We liked the traditional architecture design and the very kind and helpful staff, we had an even big meal and breakfast and both were excellent and served on wonderful roof terrace.

Friendly staff, flexibility for check-in hour, very good wifi, clean room, hot shower, good restaurant on the roof with a view, very nice decoration & Quiet A big thanks to David and the team of Nivas Boutique

Walking at night (9pm) in the area was a bit scary but nothing happened. Price are on the higher bracket for food and drinks at the restaurant.
