Misty Mountain Villas offers clean and peaceful rooms that can accommodate large groups. The location provides a picturesque view of the city and is only a short drive to town. The staff is friendly (Read More)and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. The hotel has a nice view of the hills and a cozy fireplace. Probably the worst hotel in all of Nuwara Eliya. It started with the fact that driving up to the place turned out to be quite a test for the hybrid sedan. My wife got out of the car halfway and walked :) Then the guy at the reception with a fume tried to cheat with the number, we had to show him which room we had booked on Booking, he apologized and said that someone else had made a mistake, but not him. Then he tried to deceive us at the cost of the room by 7,000 rupees. Again they showed him the cost on the booking, he again began to claim that it was not his fault and added ohhh wrong calculation!!!! But in return for such oversights they connected!!! (when we checked in, it was turned off, a guy came, moved the Jacuzzi aside and started looking for the switch somewhere below) we got a Jacuzzi in the room, but when they started checking it, it turned out that it was leaking profusely right onto the floor :) We decided not to take baths, and also decided not to stop for the entire period. We booked a room in another hotel nearby, it cost three times the price of this one, but we are sure that it will be better, more comfortable and safer.

So bad.

Washroom was clean.

The conditions of the room were not good at all. It was different from the pictures shown on the booking.com. Even there wasn't a towel rack. The floor was so unpleasant. Also, the linens were not clean, they were smelling. I really had a bad experience in this place.

Disappointing

I did not stay here

I did not stay here. Even though I made a reservation I couldnt contact the property after many efforts and neither they contacted me or replied to my messages. Hence why my rating is bad. Ideally the property should have reported that I did not check-in but that also has not happened. Not very sure if they are functioning or abandoned their services.

Best and best view in this room. hope to visit again on my next holiday. but need to upgrade the room.

They haven't ready for the season, No mirror inside the room. Fireplace not filled with firewood They Don't have a restaurant, so they will supply the food from outside and you will charge an extra delivery charge without prior inform. took 2 hours to serve the foods hidden charges. if you are visiting this place, keep some extra money. The first place in Sri Lanka i have seen. No towels No Soap. No drinking water with glasses(if the guests suffered with any illness, where should go to have some water) its terrible. at least keep a heater jug with bottled water. guests can pay it.

Well the room was beautiful and space full we were enjoyed so much and breakfast was very delicious.. I recommended everybody to select your hotel as Misty Mountain.

Cleanliness should improve little..and Wifi didn't work as expect

Exceptional

Location, location, location!!! The view is amazing. Our room had an amazing view. It was super romantic. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Toilet was clean. The owner who runs this hotel is super nice. We were a party of 11 and we asked for many things, he was happy to help and provide our requests. Breakfast was awesome, it was tasty and plenty. Ps: forgot about the fire pit at night.

Very good

Lovely stay

Very friendly, welcoming owner. Highly recommend the day tour he provides. Hot water in the shower was amazing too! The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
