Quick check in and large sized room. Easy access via external stairs if coming back to the hotel late at night.

The water to the bathroom was intermittent when they got water it was cold. The reason was they were very busy and guests would have to wait for tank to heat up. This was a Christmas treat for my family from America Very disappointing

To repeat staff good , but room conditions poor due to lack of heating and no hot water.

Breakfast OK takeaway to room OK All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful,and very apologetic about the services to our room , namely the heating system and the hot water to the bathroom. We extended our stay due to my being unwell , of the four days in total , we could not use the bathing and shower, as water was cold . In order to shave we had to boil kettles of water. The heating to our room via an old hospital radiator was insufficient, and didnt work correctly with system not even attempting to come on till 7.15 my wife and I were freezing in bed during the night and had to wear socks and a jumper in bed not what we expected!

Fine apart from the 2 points above. Staff were good.

Breakfast was poor. Avocado smash was just avocado spread thinly on toast. It did not look appetising. I did not bother with breakfast on day 2.

There was no hot water first thing on day 2. The electrics failed the previous evening and were restored, but no one thought to check the thermostat for hot water.
