Good breakfast, just opposite the great market hall, 350m walking distance to the nearest metro/trams and you can even walk across the bridge to Gellert thermal bath. We had a room with an outdoor balcony, We loved it, the view was stunning with snow.

Had a lovely time

We have spent 5 days at Meininger Budapest Great Market Hotel and we had a lovely time...the staff was very helpful, the guy at the bar was very polite. The quad rooms were clean and with sufficient place for 4 people. The location is great, close to trams ,buses and the metro Overall we had a great experience . Definetely will recommend the hotel to others.

The comment is not about something I didn't like , but it will be a great idea if the family rooms have a kettle and coffee/tea facilities

Option for a one night stay

Good location, easy to get the city center. Not so far from restaurants street

Really small room. It was difficult to fully open a bath door due to the shower box. My room wasnt cleaned good enough. Dirty bathroom door and shelves. What impacted on my impression about the hotel its a receptionist. Lady on a reception confused me within a possibility to early checkin and it was not actually possible due to the crowded hotel. But she didnt mention that and I was wasting my time while waiting .

Location and price. The hotel is in a walking distance to many facilities and close to public transportation for airport.

Rooms are small and there is not enough area for your luggage and belongings.

Excellent central hotel for a short stay if all you need is a place to sleep and have showers in

Location was excellent, right behind the main market hall in Budapest, next to Corvinus University. Hotel itself was clean, the room had ample storage space and places that we could hang things off of. Air conditioning (both cooling and heating functionality) was efficient and relatively silent. We could also open the windows (tilting only) to air out the room.

There weren't any glasses in the room - we had to ask reception and they gave us plastic cups. It served its purpose, but having to ask was another obstacle. The assembly of the shower cubicle was weird, it's as if the parts weren't the right size and they wanted to fix it by adding more silicone to account for a thinner glass pane. Other parts of the silicone sealants had mold on it, which wasn't superb. Toilet also had splashes of some dried on slimy thing - I'm hoping it was bleach or other cleaning chemicals.
