Vela restaurant staff need to be retrained

Quality of interiors from bed sheets to room layout, and lots of other details. The isolation of the resort is quite an exotic plus point for me too.

I was extremely upset with the staff at Vela restaurant. In the evening when I came for dinner, I was shouted by the a female staff, she screamed like I was an unwelcome wanderer. Even after told her my villa number she still kept her rude face. Really pissed me off. Unacceptable indeed. The a la carte dinner selections are limited, I ordered spare ribs barbercued with honey and orange crust; and jellyfish salad. The spare ribs was so bad that I could not go through a small portion of it. It was frozen food cooked in a very wrong way. I have been to Maia brands at other premesies and this was the worse meal ever.

Excellent food and service. Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle typical of cities in Vietnam. Truly a gem of a resort. Hopefully the urge to overdevelop doesn't ruin this area.

Treat yourself to a moment of pure luxury in your own private haven.

The remote location made it a much more relaxing experience. It was so quiet at night and the property grounds, room and facilities were top tier. The services provided, from being chauffeured to and from your room, to complimentary afternoon tea being Brough to the room every day, the secret little path from our horizon pool straight to the beach, to the app you can use to order room service and book dinner or spa treatments, even buggy pick up. It was all of the little extras that made this resort a complete stand out. The pride they take in their gardens and presentation or themselves, their food and drinks are exceptional.

We drink a lot of water, we went through the free bottles quickly and because youre about 25-30 minutes from town, it became quite costly to buy simple things you would normally purchase cheaply from a local store. A shop would benefit this location greatly.

Decent place for a short break. Value for money could be better.

The hotel is really comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Miss Ly who worked in the restaurant and the chap that always has a huge smile that seems to be one of the restaurant managers. The dinners were tasty and the breakfast buffet was good too with loads of variety. The property is beautiful I would definitely recommend staying in a villa with a pool. The villas are well maintained and clean. Wifi is great.

Not much to do in the hotel. There was one movie night but the staff managing it didnt seem to set up the actual movie properly. There was free popcorn that made up for it though :) Ive stayed in many resorts and the value for money here was ok. With the meals it would have been nice to have desert options and drinks for dinner. The free shuttle is only one way and then you pay 700,000 to get back which when you think about it isnt really free. The happy hour offer is ok, you have to buy two drinks to get a free one. It does however only last an hour. Spa services are quite expensive. The swim up pool bar isnt a swim up pool bar and doesnt exist to be fair, they are making the drinks in the main restaurant and then bringing them out which often takes up to 20 mins. The staff on the beach could be more attentive to help guests order drinks and snacks.

peaceful oasi on the beach

property has couple of years but it looks brand new. Near to the airport but a bit far from Quy Nhon city. Rooms are very nice, comfortable, spacious and clean.
