Disappointing

For about 800$/night its really not worth the money !

Its a nice location in a typical colonial style house, beautiful luxurious vegetation

Rooms are not cleaned every day, nor the bed or towels, rooms are not well equipped (no tea, no coffee, no TV), interrupters are not working properly, telephone works now and then. Sheets are stained even when new Staff is grey and not very friendly Restaurant is more of a cafeteria and is closed except on Thursdays One of the breakfast cook is friendly as a prison keeper

Absolutely Perfect Retreat

I literally loved every single thing about Lumeria. The salt water pool, the grounds, the breakfasts, the quiet. It was perfect. And it was also a good location with proximity to Haleakala entrance. It was nice to see upcountry Maui, which might actually be my favorite part.

Perfect balance of luxury meets no fuss and tranquility.

All staff members I dealt with either on the phone or in person were amazing and helpful. Special shout-out to Shane from the restaurant for going above and beyond to make sure my friends and I were well fed delicious food before my wedding!

My only criticism was the AC in my room didnt get super cool which was fine overnight but then died during our busy getting ready for the wedding in the morning. Luckily a friend booked a room a few doors down so we had a nice cold room to finish up in!

Relaxed stay in beautiful garden hotel

Historical property set in beautiful landscaped gardens, very peaceful, great staff & food.

All was perfect. Unfortunately we had a fire alarm in the evening, following which the electricity was cut off until the next morning. The staff did their best to accommodate guests despite the circumstances.

Passable

at the beginning the breakfast was nice (even thouh we found bugs in musli) but after a different cook appeared, the breakfast was quite terrible. Only few thing to choose, and everything was missing soon and we had to ask for tea, for cups, for more fruit and the chef was very unpolite and unwilling. even though we asked for exchange of towels after 3 days, we did not get any and there were other small things, like the light and ventilator was not working in one room

No maintenance and very dirty. Bundles of dust and disgusting dirt between mattress and the wall. Expect bugs in the room.

Disappointing

Property has good potential, but staff knowledge and attitude is killing it-I am requesting a refund

Breakfast was average ... little above a Holiday Inn breakfast. For two days (out of our 6-day stay) breakfast was sketchy...One day the cook didn't make anything above the "first" batch ... food ran out at 8:30 am when breakfast was susposed to go until 10. One another day the cook just left during breakfast. A management person grudgingly came to open the kitchen for coffee then promptly locked the door.

See above. The general tone of workers seems to be "It's beyond my control" or "It's not my job" of "I don't know". Very disappointing for a guest who is paying a premium price for the "experience" that never happened.
