Unpleasant Stay. Do Not Recommend.

Good hot water. He gave us a hotspot for WiFi that worked well.

The room was very small and noisy located between two roads. Open screened air vents which makes you hear EVERYTHING. Very bad sleep and kept waking up from the noise. The smoking area was next to our room and the window was not well secure with smoke pouring in at night. I woke up coughing from the smoke late at night which was frustrating. I asked to move rooms after one night of this and he moved us to a bigger and better room on day 3. The sink was shared by two rooms and outside of the room which was an inconvenience. Charged us 4600 rupees including taxes for three nights. Much better and quieter hotels behind this hotel in the back streets for 1200 a night if you book in person. The owners brother picked us up from the train station and first thing he said is I've been here since 6pm. They misunderstood my clear message on booking.com. He implied that he wanted more money for his own mistake. We paid him 300 rupees for a ride from the train station to hotel which was fair. My WhatsApp was not working and the owner tried to contact me which was one of the first things he said to me. The brother was very pushy for us to do a tour with him. The hotel required us to go to the police station the next day to register (which is very weird and uncommon). He basically forced us to take a rickshaw by scheduling it without asking us. I didn't realize he wanted us to pay for this ride. We got to the police station who told us they are too busy getting ready for a festival to register us. He wanted us to pay for the rickshaw ride for a useless cause. We refused. Horrible communication. Would never stay here again.

Host with great hospitality, good location in Kaddirampura, small room with average cleanliness,

The homestay is located on Hampi Road (back of Canara Bank) in Kaddirampura. This location is good when compared to other homestay's locations in Kaddirampura area. Location is clean with easy access to bus and auto services to Hampi temple and Hospet city. Mr. Prashanth, the host of Lohit Homestay, is very humble, kind, accommodating, and helpful nature person. Mr. Prashanth definitely deserves 10/10 for his great hospitality. He is a good communicator and in touch with the guest even before check-in into the property. Geyser is available in the bathroom and working. So, no issue with hot water. Drinking water is also available in the property. This is an added advantage. Jio Wifi (Hotspot) service is provided with free of cost.

Room is small with average cleanliness, just open cupboards and no other facilities. The property is a bit overpriced for its size, cleanliness, and facilities. There is only one decent restaurant in this area. Your food choices are limited.

The property felt like home. it was very neat and tidy. 24/7 hot water was available. The care taker was very friendly and helpful. They also arranged for auto services for sight seeing. overall we loved the experience.

The only missing point was Wi-Fi. it was very very weak.

The amount charged for the stay and the room isn't matching at all. Sometimes, the geyser doesn't work and the staff was rude and later for rating he changed his tone but this not at all expected from the owner/staff

A great option to Humpi attractions

Indian hospitality at its best. Great location superb excursion options in tradicional village settings. Huge terrace to enjoy the sunset.

it is a bit overpriced when you pay the commission to Booking.com not the owner of the property, but the great hospitality compensates a lot.

The welcome of the host was super! Werven were invited to his home to celebrate his son birthday

Room is very small, location is quite far from Hampi, you will need preferably a scooter which was difficult to find in hampi as there look to be only 1 guy in town thta rent scooter and he only had 10 of those.

Budget friendly stay

The rooms were tiny but neat and clean bathroom. Owner is very humble and kind. He helped us immediately in the middle of road when our rented scooty ran out of fuel. Provided towel, soap, mosquito repellent. Geyser was available in the bathroom. Drinking water was also available in the property. It was a good deal for the price we got.

Rooms were pretty small. No doors for cupboards. 1st floor rooms didn't have curtain to the windows. Not worth the stay if it's more than 1500
