Superb

Amazing hotel! We loved everything, especially the feeling of remoteness and being in the rainforest.

It is an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful scenery and feels very remote. We stayed in a forest pavilion (like a tree house) which we loved (despite it being very rainy!). We read lots of debrief about the animals / wildlife in the rooms but we did not have any. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The pool is amazing and has the most incredible view! We walked down to the waterfall a couple of times but there isnt loads to do so two nights for us was perfect.

A beautiful stay with wonderful service

By far our favourite stop in Sri Lanka, the setting is amazing, photos dont do it justice. Every little detail is considered but not over the top. All the staff were very kind, friendly and made a real effort to make our stay as good as possible. Definitely do the nature walk to the waterfall and enjoy the infinity pool - probably the best weve ever swam in!

We didnt use the private plunge pool - the main pool area was so nice we stayed there most of the time!

Fantastic Experience from food to hospitality

Gorgeous place Amazing staff that will go out of their way to ensure you have a great time We opted for the 3 course meal and they did up the table decor and the food so well. The rooms are spacious, the staff is well aware of the flora and fauna of the property. The guided walk towards their private waterfall and the pool area are all amazing

Life at its purest total luxury of Mother Nature.

Everything honestly! It is very private, nature is overwhelmingly beautiful and staff are genuinely friendly and attentive to every detail.

Nothing, I would change nothing and do it all over again tomorrow if I could!

Beautiful but not for more than a night or two

Its a lovely serene spot. Deep in the jungle with lovely nearby waterfalls. Elegant and calm.

The service, as mentioned by others, needs work. The staff failed to bring us at least three things we requested from the menu. The forest pavilions were indeed beautiful but having stayed in similar accommodation, these were a little shoddy, especially the bathrooms. Needs updating.

What a special place!

Our stay at Koslanda was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Sri Lanka. What a location and what wonderful service! The food was outstanding. On our first night there was a buffet of traditional Sri Lankan curries with soup to start and a selection of desserts. On the second and third nights we had set menu with a choice of Sri Lankan, Asian and western mains. Breakfast was three course and served at our table with juices, coffee and tea. The service was excellent. No glass was left unfilled and we always got a friendly hello from everyone whether they were in the restaurant or tending to the grounds. We spent a relaxed few days walking to the private waterfall for a swim, playing games provided in the meeting pavilion and on the lawn, and swimming at the stunning infinity pool. We requested two forest pavilions next to each other and got exactly what we asked for. The pavilions are incredible and make you feel like you're having a totally private experience. It was also great to see single use plastics replaced with reusable toiletry bottles, metal straws and decanters of filtered drinking water. This would be wonderful place to come as a couple for a romantic retreat but we also felt very welcome as a family. One evening there was a fire with marshmallows to toast and the kids loved all the games provided. The bouquets of flowers when we left were the absolute icing on the cake. What a special place!

The only slight niggle was that the food and drink prices in the menu don't include local/tourist taxes, so everything costs a little more than you expect when you come to check out. The prices are still very reasonable. If you have a driver you also need to warn them that Koslanda is a bit out of the way and the last section of road is unmade and single track. Our driver went a bit greyer dropping us off :)

You will not regret staying here the rooms and infinity pool are amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay here the hotel is like a little oasis in the jungle. The rooms were absolutely beautiful we stayed in both Peppercorn Cottage and one of the suites and loved them both. They are tastefully decorated and the design is incredible. The highlight for us was the infinity pool, we have stayed in some beautiful places on our honeymoon in Sri Lanka, but this infinity pool is second to none it looks even better than the photos! The service throughout our stay was also amazing and we loved the private waterfall.

The road to the property was difficult to drive down and some improvements could be made here. The hotel is remote, we knew this when booking and it is what we wanted from our stay!

We couldn't be happier with our stay at the Living Heritage Koslanda. The Villas are tastefully and cosily furbished, and quite big. The staff was without exception lovely and friendly, we felt we were welcomed as friends. The food was a delight every single day, we returned every plate completely empty. We recommend taking the cooking course, it was a great experience! The outdoor guide took us to a lovely private waterfall on the hotel grounds, which was a unique and refreshing experience. All in all, we kept prolonging our stay every morning, because we didn't want to leave.

the view is absolutely stunning, something from a movie! the staff is incredible, the facilities are amazing, seriously a place you can just book for a few days to get away from everything, and its a 5 min toktok drive to Diyaluma falls (which is another beauty on its own that cant be missed!) overall, a definite HIDDEN JEWEL that NEEDS to be discovered more!

we took a room up in the trees, even tho the property offered us a free upgrade to a suite on the ground, but we wanted the experience. As expected, we were constantly stressed out about bugs, wasps, hornets, spiders, snakes, and of course .. monkeys. we had a monkey visit us while we were in the room and tried to steal food from the fridge until it went away when we went towards it haha this isnt a complaint, its part of the experience .. but people should be mentally and emotionally prepared, BUT DEF should not miss out!
