Crowded amenities and overpriced stay

Great location.

Elevator line was very long. During our entire stay, the elevator lines were long, i.e. 5+ minutes. The lines at the check-in desk we equally long, while the lobby was very noisy and overall did not provide that warm and fuzzy feeling you expect when travelling and wanting to relax at a hotel. Given the price of the rooms, the price/value ration is rather low unfortunately.

Position not in centre ,but still only less than ten mins walk to beach.

Pretty disappointed given the cost

Easy from airport

Old needs a total refurb . Dirty toilet by pool not working and no showers . Only one lift working so took ages to move around . Only access pool through lobby and restaurant which is odd . Keys got locked out on last morning even though we had agreed a late check out . No coffee or tea facilities in room . Generally overpriced

Comfortable and somewhat classy, but showing its age.

The location is about a 10 minute walk from the Santa Monica beach and pier and Palisades Park. So much to walk to and enjoy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent and fairly priced. The lobby and pool area is pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean with decent bedding.

It's an old facility, and that age shows in the hallways and the rooms. I don't think they should charge as much as they do, especially compared to some of the other hotels in the area that have spectacular views of the ocean etc. My family, however thought it was great. I'm pickier about design, and like to have a lot of natural light in my room.

The STAFF is my reason for return. Facility needs more attention to compete with modern properties.

Hotel Staff was Exceptional!!! DARIUS at the Front Desk was UNMATCHED in customer care. His expert advice and details made the stay exceptional alone and builds great credibility in making Le Meridian a "world-class" Marriott facility. Also, HUGO, Concierge is likewise a true professional, excellent customer care. He remembered me from my first stay, 1 year ago. All in person dining Staff were exceptional and beyond compare. As a Retired Sr. Military Officer, 30 years, who has stayed worldwide, the experience was exceptional and heading in the right trajectory. It is on my radar to return.

Only ONE elevator the entire week we stayed. This should have been a priority. Costly Valet parking. Is there a discount or rewards for returning guest?

Great hotel in a fab location with the best staff

The staff definitely made this hotel. Tracy at reception was was welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. The security outside were also superb and friendly.

No tea or coffee facilities in the room.
