Perfect vacation stay !

We loved everything about our stay. The place is absolutely beautiful with aesthetic rooms, greenery all around, a pool to chill, stone outdoor furniture and a porch with sitting arrangement. The beach is at 5 mins walking distance, what more does one need Nelson the host is a brilliant guy, friendly and makes you feel at home. The staff was great. All in all a perfect leisure stay for couple as well as family. Highly recommended

Idillic setting and an amazing stay. Wish we stayed longer!

In one word: idyllic. I honestly cant praise this place, its people running it and my overall experience enough. The venue is perfect, a stones throw from the beach, it feels so intimate it almost makes you feel like youre staying with friends. The room is clean, beautifully spacious (large enough for the two of us to also exercise in!), the bed is truly comfortable and I loved sitting on the porch relaxing in the evening after dinner. Because the room is its own lodge, you get plenty of privacy and you barely hear a sound from the neighbours, even when sitting on the porch. The aircon works wonders and the added bonus of the kettle, meant we could have a quick coffee in the privacy of the room as soon as we woke up. Which brings me to the next point, oh the breakfast! Beautifully laid out and delicious, with two courses (an array of mixed fruit first and then eggs and toast or similar next). We also had dinner there a couple of times and Nelsons cooking is definitely worth a mention. The portions are huge, I felt terrible leaving such good food on the plate ! Everything is so well thought out, our room was serviced daily with different finishing touches every day with gorgeous fresh flowers decorating the bed. Everyone working there is so friendly and incredibly helpful, the overall ambience feels incredibly tranquil, I felt relaxed the moment I arrived! We stayed 4 nights and also did a tour organised by Nelson which we loved (boat tour) and wed like to recommend that, too. I honestly cant think of anything Id change or improve, I just wished we stayed longer. If youre lucky enough to find availability for this gem of a place, book it NOW!

Felt incredibly welcome and would love to stay again!

First and foremost, Nelson was fantastic - so welcoming, helpful and had such care for his guests! Nelson organised a river safari for us, which was brilliant. Also, his food is well worth it!! Delicious! The place is peaceful and relaxing - a perfect stay. 100% would recommend!

Spartan but very nice rooms and really well maintained property. Just a 5 min walk from a lovely beach that offers an excellent walk/jog opportunity. Very amiable host.

Property right next to a very busy railway line that has trains noisily passing by every half hour until 8.30 pm. The first one in the morning is at 5.30 am. Vegetarian breakfast options are limited apart from a great fruit platter and salad / toast. Slightly pricey compared to other similar properties.

Wonderful & authentic.

A small guest house complex in a beautiful rustic setting. Simple, but comfortable room with aircon, fan, mosquito net and good size bathroom. Lovely porch sitting area. Breakfast was simple, but excellent and the optional evening meals were superb. The pool is excellent & the whole complex is kept exceptionally clean & tidy. Finally, we met one of the best hosts of our travels. Very attentive & helpful.

Its proximity to a railway line meant that there is occasional train noise, but not something that bothered us and not apparent at night.

The host and the food he cooked were amazing and really really tasty. The property was well cared for with a lot of plants and trees.

Wasnt fan of the location Supermarkets etc are really far away. Also had to pay by cash which wasnt very convenient

It was our first stop on our trip to Sri Lanka and the rooms, breakfast, service, host really set the bar high for the rest of our trip! Nelson is an excellent, warm host and very keen on making sure we had the most comfortable time our 2 days there. The property is beautiful and really paid attention to little things, appreciate the fresh flowers everywhere!
