Superb

Such a nice room/property. Very clean, and spacious. Staff waited for us to check in as we arrived late PM, we were shown around our room, and given welcome drinks. The location is good, short walk to restaurants and the beach nearby.

We didnt see many staff members around in the day, it was also a little difficult to find in the dark, its down a narrow alley way right at the bottom.

Beautiful property and excellent staff

Beautiful gardens and location was quite good. Delicious breakfast every morning (if you stay in the bungalows)

Saw a cockroach in our room on the first night :( managed to get it out and thankfully didnt see it again after that. Aircon blows straight onto the bed, so either freezing cold and couldnt sleep or boiling if we turned it off

Really nice and spacious bungalows in a lovely garden setting. A good breakfast served on the veranda with birdsong was a real joy. Situated up a quiet lane off the main road but close to beach and good choice of restaurants. Friendly staff and trips offered.

An airy, spacious oasis of calm close to Amed beach

Large, airy rooms facing a garden-like inner courtyard. Comfortable bed with mosquito netting. Large bottled water supply; huge bathroom with a nice shower. Apart from the occasional rooster, this was a nicely secluded retreat away from the main road at the end of a small side road. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast: there's a choice of pancake, eggs, or fruit; and coffee or tea. There's a supermarket nearby with one of the only ATMs in Amed. There's lots of nearby dive shops - we went to the sunken WWII wreck and a couple of other spots - all shore dives, with good snorkeling.

It's a rural area, so we were able to hear roosters and pigs. Nothing bad or too loud - just something to be aware of. The host promised a "welcome drink", but this never materialized, and the in-room info described an afternoon "tea service" that is apparently no more. Amed itself is a bit underwhelming. All these are minor - it's still a great place, and we'd happily go back.

The woman we interacted with on site was very kind. The room was presented very well with flowers on the bed and some welcome drinks . The garden was very beautiful and the price was reasonable. There was a welcome packet in the room explaining the area. Including how noisy the place is.

It might not be the same for every room but in the room we stayed in, the air conditioner was not powerful enough to cool the room properly during the day, so if you want to relax in the room it might be difficult in the heat. There was some kind of infestation of termites inside the fancy solid wood bed nightstand burrowing into it and emptying out the inside. We moved it away from the bed because it was a bit gross. Not dangerous or anything just not pleasant. They had a kitchen in the room which is great but the kitchenware was old and damaged. Some of the cooking tools were melted and the pans were very old and everything stuck to them unless we used a ton of oil. Other than the air conditioning these are mild inconveniences in my opinion. What was NOT a mild inconvenience was how NOISY the place is. The animals in the area do not get quieter at night. We slept WITH EARPLUGS in but were woken up around 2am and could not sleep due to noise all the way into the morning. The noise mainly came from several barking dogs and roosters crowing (at 2 in the morning). The bed was also creaky which compounded the sleep issue because we were tossing and turning try ing unsuccessfully to fall back asleep. For some people maybe this is okay, but we booked the hotel for 14 days hoping for a peaceful place to rest. It was impossible to sleep and there was NO WARNING in their booking information about the noise. They know about the issue, they wrote about it in their welcome packet but by that time its too late to not book. We CHECKED OUT AFTER 1 NIGHT due to an issue that was not our fault, and they REFUSED TO REFUND us. We booked the place about a week before we checked in too, so it's not as though we had the room on hold for months and months before the check in. The owner was evasive and a bit rude in her messages to us(it could have been a language issue but it wasn't a pleasant experience). We ended up having to go around her through booking.
