No door for dorms, they re using our room as depot (they make a area with the bed sheet and put boxes), the toilet is sharing between 4 dorm room (eq. 40 person) and it's dirty, very dirty, the toilet is broken, u can't sit on it's compeletly broken and the dirties toilet i have seen a hotel/hostel/dorm, the hot water is not great, the toilet also so small, the light for beds is just bad, the beds shaking so much and if u re up, u can't sleep because of swing.Also the room is small, so small. Sooo dissapointing for 10 people dorm rooms.

I have not stayed at this hostel because of this situation I don't understand how you can leave me this message. This was my experience in this place. Very bad experience with Branko, the person who was the receptionist when I arrived at the hotel. I went to the hostel early and the first thing he did was to charge me without checking in. after he charged me he said the room was occupied, and threw me out on the street. I asked him if he could give me the receipt as I had paid the money for the reservation. He refused to give it, and what he did was to bring in two more guys from the street and threaten to kick me out of the hostel. I contacted booking to solve the problem and the booking lady was calling him at the reception and he did not want to answer the phone. I asked for a claim form to make a complaint to the manager and the girl at reception told me that they do not have claim forms. I leave you with this experience so that you can be careful when paying so that your money is not stolen. In my opinion Branko should not be in this job, I believe that there are other people with more skills who can perform better in this position. A person who greets customers drunk should not be in this position. this person was drunk and I understand that these are special dates but there is no excuse for mistreating a customer in this way. I hope that the accommodation or the manager will take action.

Awesome Hostel, they are the real Kong!

I really liked the staff and the people that I was accommodating with. Also the drinks were really good.

It was unlucky that the heater was not working for the showers but that was not really an issue for me :) They fixed it in the day.

Everything is as advertise, if not better

The place is realy nice and welcoming, as well as the staff, its very well located and everything is perfectly clean

My only complaint would the noise from the outside at night, you can hear some musique and people partying. They give free ear plugs at the front desk and Im not someone who need complete silent too so it was ok for me be aware of this

Everything is fine! However, I lost my jacket along with all my credit cards and debit cards! And I asked them to call the police but they seem to be on their side!

They dont take the responsibility for protecting my stuff in the common area.

Im sad.

Location was fine. Not too hard to find it I guess but not super near to a lot of things?

What is with the staff's attitude? Why did we get served in paper cups and asked to retrieve the coffee by myself but ppl who can speak their languages get to sit down properly in proper cups and have their drinks served to their tables? And you know what is even more amazing about this? I am paying the same amount as all of them, everyone else? Hey, if you are a racist, at least don't make it so entirely obvious? Isn't that the stupid thing to do? Furthermore, the lights in the rooms were not working as well. :D

Overall nice place, staff are friendly and attentive to their customers. They take good care of the place and the cafe

It's very loud at night, impossible to sleep anytime before 03.00am. weekend weekday all nights are loud music. If you like resting you might want to consider that.

Want a budget-friendly, cozy, welcoming, and vibrant place in Rotterdam's center? Look no further!

The hostel was above and beyond my expectations. It's located pretty much in the heart of the city, surrounded by pubs, smart/coffeeshops (if you're into that), and every major site is within walking distance. The hostel is extremely cozy, and the staff is stellar! Unfortunately the food is not included (except pizza nights on Friday, and some other days too I think), but they have a great kitchen where you can cook your own food (they also have a section of free use ingredients!). Every morning you can get free tea or coffee in the kitchen, which is attached to a movie section with a huge tv, where you can watch Netflix with a public account, or even connect your phone. The bathrooms (both public and room ones) were pretty clean, albeit I've spotted a bit of mold on a silicone sealing near the floor (that was the only spot). Also they provide free earmuffs, because it can get pretty annoying during the night with the music and the snoring, if you booked a shared room. The lockers under the bed are spacious, and the security of them only depends on your padlock. One problem with them is that they're kinda loud when you slide them out and open them.

You get what you pay for. In shared rooms you can't choose roommates, so privacy and snoring during the night are kind of a problem, and could be a deal breaker for some people. To be honest I fully expected that, so I did not mind at all. Also I wish the music was quieter at night (both at the pub near the hostel and in the lounge). Honestly those are the only downsides I can think of! As minor inconveniences: -The lighting in our room was pretty poor. The main lightbulb looked like it was about to give up. Yeah, there are tiny lights by the beds, but they can get uncomfortable. -No sink in room toilets, so if someone is using the shower - you have to go somewhere else to wash your hands (at least in case of our 8-beds room). -The movie area often has people working/eating/lounging, so going there to watch a movie can get difficult, in case it's not a thing - I wish they had some kind of "reservation" for the movie area (and a barrier with the kitchen). -The windows. On our second day there, they were left open for the whole day, so when we came back in the evening - the room was pretty chilly, even though it got warm-ish in an hour. -Prices for operating the washing and drying machines (4 euros for both). I guess it's not that big of a deal if you're staying for a couple days, but yeah, that was a bit of a bummer. -The pizza. This is mostly for laughs, but as someone who lives in Italy - it was nooooooot very good Kinda like a mid homemade pizza. It did fill me up, so at least there's that ahah!
