Superb

The location is really central and convenient. There is a stunning temple across the road for peace and quiet and a 7/11 next door for washing powder and whatever. I like that there are self-service washing machines and dryer. You get what you pay for, and all I ask is peace and quiet where I stay, and this place provided that. If you like to party or complain, this is not the place.

I'm not fussy or entitled, so there is nothing I do not like. It's no trouble to adjust and go with the flow. I stayed a week, so that's saying something, lol.

Avoid this hostel

Except for the location I don't like anything in the hostel . Too many rules, not a comfortable bed , 20 people share single rest room . Mama has self branding everywhere. And she is not the walk the talk

Looks and feels like a prison

Cheap

The host kicked me out of the hostel, for the following reasons, in her own words: 1. I ate downstairs after 8 PM. 2. I made a video call downstairs when there was nobody there. She said the place is only for sleeping. The place looks and feels like a prison. No social thing out of the room. Wifi doesn't reach the room. It is a tourist agency with beds.

Worst stay I had in Thailand ever

It was cheap

Very unfriendly stuff, screaming at me for no reason and then hugging me straight after. It felt so fake. Didnt feel welcome at all. Also wasnt the cleanest and basics like bins or toiletpaper missing..but I think the worst was really the people working there, it feels like they hate tourists but trying to get money out of them as much as possible.

Best Chiang Mai budget private room

Mama (the host) helped me for everything I needed, the place is clean and silent, I spent more than a month here working in my room and I never had any problem, great cheap place! gladly recommend!!

Mama is so cute and always wants to help you with anything you need. You can book every tour to her very discounted so I really recommend this place if you want to save some money and enjoy the center of Chiang Mai!
