There wasnt much not to like - great location, fantastic friendly staff, scenic views and lots to do.

If you are unfit, there is a lot of steps to get around the hotel.

Dream resort to which I will definitely return

This hotel is amazing. I planned on staying 4 nights and extended my stay to 7 nights when I got there. The resort is clean, very nice, with magnificent view of the ocean and Shark bay (great for off-shore snorkeling). Rooms are spacious, spotless clean and the view is the best you can have - directly on the ocean, with nothing in front - cannot top that! Due to a location on the cliff, the resort isn't in the town, but by scooter, shuttle or taxi it is a quick 10-15min drive to the center. There are also many stairs, but again - cliff position, so it is unavoidable. Staff is very nice. Mr. Nice at the reception desk will make your stay into a dream one, by helping out with every question or request you may have. Breakfast is generous and also the meals at the restaurant are really tasty. The prices are a bit high (also at the pool), but nothing extraordinary. Spa - I went to a Thai massage 2x - first one was AWESOME, but the second one very disappointing, so I guess it depends which therapist you get. If you are a scuba diver or you have always wanted to try - this is the place to do it. I did my Open Water Course here and the instructor and facilities are the best one can get. So, if you decide to do it, ask for Pierre and you will be in the best hands. Overall ... this resort got my hear the first second I have opened the balcony door and heard the ocean, and it has not disappointed.

As I have decided to extend my stay, I changed the rooms (thank you again to Mr. Nice for making this possible) - from king size bed to twin. The mattresses in the twin room would need changing, as they already have dent in the middle from usage. Other than that, everything was great.

We loved the location of the property and the services that the hotel offered in terms of the shuttle from the pier and the shuttle into town.

The hotel rooms and dining area are a bit outdated. When I booked I was led to believe we were in one of the neural coloured rooms. But we had one of the double sea views that definitely need work for a 5 star hotel.

The perfect hotel to learn to dive on Koh Tao.

The Jamahkiri is the perfect hotel to learn to dive if you are visiting Koh Tao. The diving facilities are new and the instructors are amazing (ask for Pierre if you are planning on learning to dive). We stayed here for a few nights while we did our open water and loved it so much that we did our advanced course there too.

There were no gym facilities and the yoga space was under repair. That was the only negative.

The cleaning staff missed some small details. But overall the place was pretty clean. The road is tricky for unexperienced bike riders. The prices at the pool are a bit too high even for hotel.

Our recent stay at Jamahkiri Dive Resort in Koh Tao was an experience we will cherish forever. This resort isn't just a place to stay; it's a destination that offers a unique blend of luxury, relaxation, and adventure. The staff at Jamahkiri were the heart and soul of our experience. Their extraordinary friendliness and attentiveness made us feel valued and well-cared for. They seemed to anticipate our needs, adding a personal touch to our stay that was truly exceptional. Dining at the resort's restaurant was a culinary delight. Each meal was more than just tasty; it was a feast for the senses, especially with the picturesque backdrop of Shark Bay enhancing our dining experience. While snorkeling in front of the resort, we were struck by the changes in the underwater world. The once vibrant coral reefs showed signs of environmental impact, with many corals not as lively as they used to be. Despite this, we were fortunate to see a variety of fish, some sharks, and even some turtles, which was a memorable part of our adventure. Our diving course, led by the skilled and reassuring instructor Neo, was a highlight. We felt safe and well taken care of, making our diving experience enjoyable and stress-free. The room service at the resort deserves high praise. On days when we were too tired to dine out, the quality and promptness of the service made our in-room dining just as special as eating at the restaurant. The reception staff were incredible, efficiently taking care of our needs with a level of service that made us feel like they could almost read our minds. And the massages they were heavenly. Each massage left us feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready to enjoy our next adventure. In summary, our stay at Jamahkiri Dive Resort was an unforgettable blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty.
