Had an amazing journey in this hotel. From the welcoming to the goodbyes. For sure the best hotel I ever visited.

Maybe the non-helpful and a bit rude staff from bar. Cant remember his name, he was euro around 40 on Saturday 30/12/23.

Amazing stay at the Intercontinental!!

The hotel is amazing. It's big, with many facilities. The views on the lagoon and the Otemanu mount are breath taking. The staff is so nice and caring. The bungalows on pilotis are insane, so comfy and private. We had free access to kayaks & paddles and we could swim in an artificial lagoon with corals and fishes, it's so beautiful. The breakfast is amazing and the spa (and massages) are great. They have programs to take care of the fauna and corals of the island.

We were surprised that the shuttles from the airport and other Intercontinental weren't free, as we already paid a lot for the stay. The restaurants are really expensive while the dishes aren't really qualitative (e.g: I had a starter at 35 and it was only green salad) - and as it's situated on a motu and we didn't have a car, we couldn't really go somewhere else to eat.

The location, setting and facilities are amazing. The staff are fantastic and the bed was the comfiest I think Ive ever slept in.

A once in a lifetime experience of brilliant luxury!

Beautiful grounds and setting, very luxurious and staff all incredibly friendly. Unique place! Free chiller bottles to use and keep which was a great touch.

Sometimes a lack of clarity on pricing and not forthcoming with information about possible activities - e.g booked each of the 3 restaurants on each night and happened to book the restaurant with the Polynesian show but no advice that this was happening (or the price!). Would be good for concierge team to advise what is coming up given the days they know you are staying. Had to scroll through tv menu to find some of the info that was really useful - e.g brilliant in room speakers, fish food in shop to use in the in-room coffee table. Would be good if some of these things highlighted on check in.

Go for the location. Absolute paradise. Dont have high hopes for food and expect to pay as much as they can get you to

Location is paradise. Rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Enjoyed having our own jetty to enjoy the sun and being able to swim into the lagoon from our villa.

Overpriced food and drink. They really charge as much as they can - 30 euros for a starter salad! 27 euros for basic cocktails. Food quality was fine but not amazing - although that is to be expected given the islands location. Bathroom in our villa was quite dated. Didnt enjoy the judgement from the older female waitresses when not ordering any expensive cocktails with dinner or only ordering 1 course over dinner. Almost like they were trying to shame you into spending more. Same thing with the ladies who come round the pool area asking if you would like a drink - almost sounding surprised when you say no!
