Felt the staff in the dining area were absolutely fabulous but really disappointed with the way they handled our complai

Property was well presented and back office staff were absolutely amazing .Had free parking and close to general amenities, shop pizza cafes etc all within a few min walking distance

We liked our stay here . Until the day of our daughters birthday. We had paid 200 dhrims for our daughters favourite birthday confetti ice cream cake from Cold Stone Bakery and specifically asked the manager to store it in the freezer as it was a cold stone ice cream cake day before Christmas Eve. The manager said rest assured its fine and we were given a receipt and the cake was taken away .So that we could cut it on her birthday which happens to be on Christmas Day. Around 11.30 pm Christmas Eve we asked the kitchen manager to take the cake out so it would be right to cut. Just a few minutes before Midnight so we could celebrate our daughters birthday. We wanted it to be special as shes now moved away for Uni and we dont see her as often. When we went back at midnight we found that the cake had melted and gone off because the cake was never put in the freezer even after we were told it had been in freezer 30 minutes before. It was terrible as we had really wanted it to be special she was absolutely devastated . We approached the front desk to see if they would compensate and order another cake from cold stone but they just said we cant do that. Think thats appalling. We then asked if they could order another cake and that we would pay just to make our daughters birthday special but again were told that thats against policy. Why then agree to store the cake tell us its in the freezer and then not live upto your word . We are really upset about the whole situation. We had wrote to Hyatt to tell them we were specifically going to celebrate.
