Too expensive and massive let down

Nice bar friendly bar staff

Got told as soon as we checked in either leave a credit card on file or 100 per night at reception even though booking was paid in full this was unexpected and a bit of a surprise for a 4 day holiday. When I asked why lady at reception was abrupt and said it happens everywhere, frequent traveller never before happened me. Rooms dark and tiny and quite poorly equipped. Breakfast poor, charged to use pool even though hotel is expensive enough. Youd expect the spa to be extra but not the pool. Tv didnt work when we got to room It would be nice to have Netflix for a movie at night but it was either Italian music or red tube, the doors to the private balcony were impossible to open they were rubbing on the hard ground. The water in the shower would change to near boiling every so often when in shower was quite dangerous to be honest. Frankly, for the money this hotel costs its really lacking in terms of value for money / quality. only positive was the bar and max who played piano was exceptional. I was disappointed we couldnt use pool as it was booked out every day (we didnt book ahead which we should have so thats down to us too) and to be fair charging a guest whos already paid to stay at the hotel 25 for 2 hours in the pool is a joke. Overall would never stay again and having had to send a picture of a credit card by email. I hope they deleted the email since and I was uncomfortable having to do that

Good

All in all a lovely place to stay , mainly due to the beauty that is Rome .and my better half.

Stunning interior, especially dance floor, wonderful pianist of an evening, staff very helpful

Shower head faulty, interior glass wall smashed, bar closes at 11 asked for a drink at 10.55 and barman wouldnt serve me.

Exceptional

My wife and I wished we could have stayed longer. A true delight.

Buffet breakfast was diverse and wonderful (Colazione meraviglioso). Dinner was also quite good and considering the romantic setting, service, and top quality was also quite reasonably priced compared to the few other restaurants we had tried nearby. The lower spa area has an entry fee ($25e) for a 2 hour duration, and was nicely designed to include a diverse offering of multiple jacuzzi / water fountain choices in the warm areas, sauna, steam room / Turkish bath and a salt room. We did not schedule any additional spa services given our brief stay and interest in instead seeing as much of Rome's treasures as possible, but these were available at reasoanble costs. Our final evening with the friendly piano player facilitating 'audience karaoke' in their beautiful marble clad ball room was molto divertente. The hotel is an easy 10-15 minute walk to Rome's Termini station (only requires navigating 2 streets). Staff were always friendly and helpful. No charge for pre & post check-in luggage storage. We saved this stay for our last few days in Rome before flying back to Canada after our 3 week late November trip travelling elsewhere across Italy. It was a great choice, albeit it made it that much harder to leave this remarkable country.

Very good

Enjoyable

Was spacious room but we had the 2 floor one, Breakfast was good and area was nice.

Room was a little dark so could do with slightly better liking. I wouldnt say the hotel is central but its a good 20 minutes wall to say the steps but we liked having a nice stroll in etc. rome is amazing city so recommend to anyone.

The reception for the hotel and facilities was nice.

The reception was nice, helpful, and professional. The breakfast is also delicious.

We didn't get the room we had booked, but I think it was the booking website fault. They didn't report the correct one.

Very good

Convenient location, good value, and comfortable.

The hotel, spa, restaurant and piano bar were lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean and the water pressure was good. The breakfast was very good with many choices. Eggs, bacon, meat, cheese, fruit, juices, pastries and cakes, oatmeal and yogurt. American coffee and espresso drinks. The staff was professional and many spoke English. The spa was clean and easy to use. The sauna, steam room, rain shower, and jacuzzi were all lovely and relaxing.

There was one staff member who was a bit unpleasant. I made a mistake and she made a scene in front of other staff and guests to try to embarrass me. The issue was easily resolved so Im not sure why she took the approach she did.
