Guests enjoyed a dinner, bed, and breakfast stay at Charingworth Manor, with pleasant rooms and excellent food at the Orangery. Some noted building work and dated bathroom facilities. Service was pra (Read More)ised as attentive and friendly, with special mention of staff providing for their dog. The grounds were beautiful, and the lack of loungers by the swimming pool was noted. A Christmas lunch event was also highly appreciated for the service and food quality.

Very good

Very pleasant stay with amiable staff, good food and facilities.

Staff very friendly and helpful - restuarant service very efficient. Ideal location for a country manor - very well presented bearing in mind its histoical roots.

the 'Potter' room, on the ground floor, was subjected to creeks, groans and noise from movement in the room above - toilet flushing in the middle of the night disturbed our sleep. The modern flat screen TV gave a good picture and sound but the number of channels available was very limited. Some of the main channels (BBC 1/2) had reception that was very poor and pixelated - the full range of 'free view' channels was not available. The sink in the bathroom was set at the highest height I have ever experienced - about 1.15 metres above floor level - obvoisly installed by a giant plumber.

Lovely place- and Dog Friendly!

Lovely property, and very nice grounds. Some of the decor is a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. Very welcoming of our dog too!

Only slight grumble was having two single mattresses pushed together in what we booked as a double room. Despite being covered by the same sheet etc its always very obvious when theres a bit of a gap between them etc

Absolutely not a 4 star hotel. 3 star at best

Decent breakfast, and beautiful countryside surrounding the property. Pool was nice and warm.

Was not very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the room. Bathroom fan full of dust. Walls had water damage and cracks. Furniture was chipped. Headboard not attached to bed very well and kept hitting the wall every time I moved. Pillows old and flattened out. Musty smell to the room. This was a rip off at almost 300/night. Will never stay here again.

Location of hotel was great. Food was superb. Staff very good

Room furniture was tired and poor quality. Poor shower over bath set up. Evidence of severe damp on walls and no extraction in the bathroom

We would stay here again if visiting the Cotswolds.

Really comfortable room and bed. Very good breakfast, really friendly and attentive staff. The place was spotless throughout.. Used the pool on our stay and facilities in the pool area were good.

I cannot think of anything negative about this hotel.

Pleasant

Love the hotel but standards have dropped

Breakfast was adequate, was told that they were short of milk jugs and then passed us one from another table, pastries were in short supply

No sauna/steam room, slippers provided for pool area we found them to be dangerous as we both nearly slipped over. Biscuits in the room are now Crawfords not their usual quality
