A very nice hotel at Cote d'Or

The hotel is located on Praslin's most beautiful beach. The pool, the gym, and the spa are well equipped and beautifully maintained. The food is delicious and the selection is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly, we had a great time there. A bottle of very good red wine was waiting for us as welcome, and we got a very beautiful goodbye present. The cocktails are very delicious!!

Upon arrival, our rooms (ocean rooms) had an unpleasant moldy smell. When we inserted the keycard, the AC thermostat showed an alert to change the filters. On the day before our departure, late at night (after 10pm), reception called us to ask when we would leave the room. We thought they just wanted to know if we are planning to check out on time so we said we would for sure before 10am, but they kept asking when exactly so we ended up saying 10am sharp. Not long before our departure a staff member approached us (that was the first time we saw this person) and asked for a mention by name on the review platforms. We know that some hotels are using these reviews to decide whom to give bonus but it's very uncomfortable for us, hotel guests. Typically we only visit a hotel once, and only spend a few nights there. Sometimes we don't even have the chance to meet all staff members but even if we do, we don't note down their names. Besides, with this method, hotel management is pushing the employee performance evaluation to the guests.

Superb

Le Duc is an amazing place to stay in. Beautiful beach right in front of resort, detailed every single decoration around the whole resort, sensational food especially in the evening. Just fab. Staff amazing.

The only one think I must point out was a bit smell in our room from the shower drain in room 112 so this should really get sorted but overall I can highly recomend.

Not a 5* hotel - felt more like a good quality 3* hotel. Ocean view rooms smell, drain in shower room clogged so water drains very slowly. Buffet dinner is poor quality, best to eat at the beach restaurant which even then is passable. None of the Sun loungers at the beach pool have any shade. The bed and seat coverings are dirty. Reception often unmanned. Towels regularly not replaced. Provide 2 bottles of water / day in room, then charge for anything more. Wouldnt stay again - much better options in Seychelles.

A wonderful start to our Seychelles honeymoon

Ambiance - design of main area, room decor Comfortable check-in. We arrived several hours before check in and were able to leave our luggage and go to the beach Generous honeymoon amenities - sparkling wine, candle lit dinner at Cafe Des Arts, 2 free cocktails, beautiful painting as a parting gift Egg chair on the balcony Great view of the beach from our very modern Oceanfront room Excellent lotion and other room amenities Good buffet and an excellent omelette. My husband had a full plate of gluten free pastries every morning for breakfast Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful beach steps away from our room

Superb

Nice hotel with a beautiful surroundings.

We liked the location and the surrounding. The rooms are quite big and the bathroom also (there is also a terrace).The dinning was magnificant-food quality and presentation on a high level. The location of the hotel couldn't be in a nicer place. The staff is also very kind. The nature in the hotel surroundings amazed us.

The only thing we didn't like is the bed quality which is very important for a 5* hotel. The mattresses are a bit outdated and should be replaced with a new ones.
