Fifth return to the lovely Hotel Indigo :)

This was our fifth stay at Hotel Indigo, having first stayed there in 2015 when the hotel was quite new. The best bit has always been the staff. In particular, the front of house and serving staff in the restaurant at breakfast were just so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble! When we got to our room, there was a sign that read "a treat for you" but nothing there - we wouldn't have followed this up as we didn't particularly mind, but we hadn't been in there five minutes before a member of staff knocked on our door with biscuits and bottled water. Amazing service :) Also, breakfast was delicious!! Plenty of options and everything's tasty and fresh!

The rooms are still really nice but they do seem to be getting a little bit tired. Mainly the rug in our room (221) seemed a bit shabby. But it's definitely not something that affected our stay!! The speakers in the bathroom didn't work, but again, this isn't a typical feature you'd get in a hotel so we didn't really mind. I guess the only thing is the price point isn't exactly cheap, so it would be good to have a refresh at some stage :) but again, we'd still stay there as it is currently because it is lovely and all the staff clearly work so hard.

Location, the rooms, breakfast was great and lots of options, Stan were fantastic

Could have done with more attention to cleaning.. small things like splashed coffee on the wall or dust on the mirror also the curtains were ripped.

Very good

Indigo York is good value. Well located, clean, modern interior with easy access to city centre.

Cooked breakfast was excellent, the scrambled eggs and salmon was spot on. My wife enjoyed the vegetarian full english. Room and bathroom were clean, shower got a thumbs up. Staff were were cheerful and helpful.

"Machine" latte was poor. Stick to a filter coffee (or a cafetiere).

Good hotel but parking limited.

Hotel and staff were welcoming.

Lack of parking space. My partner is disabled and I was informed there were no parking spaces available. If Id known the parking was very limited I wouldnt have booked this hotel.
