Greatly appreciated.
Due to severe weather impacting onward travel from Edinburgh the hotel was booked at very short notice. The evening Receptionist kindly welcomed & assist my relative with heavy luggage. Greatly appreciated.
Slight plumbing problem but was sorted immediately.

Good staying in Edinburgh!
The staff, they all were great! The deputy manager and Helena, Id thanks to both of them that tried to support my requests. The location is the best. Close to everything, bus, tram, shopping mall, WAVERLEY station, Princess street. Perfect!
The pillows, they were too soft and too flat. This is not good for the neck. I wish to have variety of breakfast e.g. adding items of pasta. Thatd be nice.

Very good
I stayed overnight with friends and we had a perfect stay.
Very close to the theatre and within walking distance to train. The room itself was lovely and large the beds very comfy and the shower was fantastic.
Whilst the staff were excellent we were able to leave our bags prior to checkin and they were taken to our room and the staff at checkin were friendly and accommodating. However when we left the hotel the next day on my way home I recieved an email saying I had left the hotel without paying. We had been told at checkin we did not need to leave via reception and could in-fact leave by the door near our room. When I asked about the key card I was told to leave it in the room. Receiving this email and having to call the hotel to make payment was mortifying and very upsetting. I had assumed that payment had been taken via my card which was on file. It was an upsetting end to an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Pleasant
More expensive than I felt worth the facilities provided, but very central
Very central, so getting from A to B was incredibly easy, and access to great food and transport out was effortless.
Honestly, I just expected more for the cost of it. I requested a high up room and was given it, but my room was tiny. We're talking room enough for a small "double" bed, and just enough space to approach said bed easily from one side. TV basically stuck to the end of said bed, as wide as the bed itself. Tiny floorspace beyond, could probably touch both walls simultaneously. Bathroom was nice but the toilet was crushed into a corner, so sitting down, my knees almost touched the wall ahead, and bafflingly the radiator was on the wall immediately to the right, encroaching on the seated toilet space. For transparency at check in I was offered a larger room, but it would be further down the building, and I always much prefer the upper ends of hotels, particularly for views. No such views here, just the backs of buildings. The check in was also rather shaky, as I was first off not found, then when found, told I had 1 day (I had 6). All resolved, but still, not a great start. Took advantage of their breakfast once, but... did nothing for me. A small selection of breads, some fruit and yoghurts, and a baffling cheese section that had no place to really cut/prepare, so I had to put my plate down (no dedicated space to do that, either) and reach into the cheese platter to cut it directly in the cheese section. Frankly, not worth the bother.

The hotel was in a great location easy walking distance to the playhouse and st James quarter also bars and restaurants. The room was really nice and absolutely spotless. We were advised on our arrival that the contents of the mini fridge were complimentary this included still and sparkling water, urn but and caramel wafers, there was also ample tea and coffee making facilities. We had breakfast included and this was absolutely beautiful there was an option of continental or cooked which was cooked to order and was delicious . What made our stay was the lovely staff from Helena on reception Max on the bar and the staff that served breakfast (didnt get their names) who are an absolute credit to the hotel
The scaffolding outside was a bit off putting
