The Home2 Suites by Hilton Destin received positive reviews from guests. The hotel is undergoing renovations but still provided a comfortable and clean stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and t (Read More)he breakfast was enjoyable. The location is convenient, with nearby activities and a short walk to the beach. Some guests were surprised by an additional parking fee, but overall, the stay was satisfying and worth the money.

Disappointing

I liked the facilities and the location.

We had to grab some towels a couple of times and each time the staff was not friendly. They acted like we were bothering them. Also, I asked for my room to be cleaned just once during our 7 day stay and it never happened.

The whole hotel was amazing. The staff was super nice. Loved Mrs. Judy on night shift. Her hospitality was everything. We really enjoyed her. Definitely will miss her.

Bed was very uncomfortable, toilet seat was old.

Good but I dont like some of the changes.

I am a regular at this property and I like that they serve a good breakfast.

I dont like that they didnt serve biscuit and gravy at breakfast.

Only negative review I have given. Heres your warning.

The short walk to the beach was the only enjoyable thing about our stay unfortunately.

Before we even arrived there were issues-TWO charges totaling $320.16 were made before arrival even though the total was supposed to be $119.74. Staff seemed to have no record of the second charge, though I tried showing them multiple times. No one listened to what I was saying, and only promised it would fall off of my card and they were refunding $28, not the $200 owed. After it cleared my card and did not drop off, I let them know and the same lady who was rude to other guests and talking bad about her coworkers proceeded to argue with me on the phone, again not understanding a charge for $172 was made by the hotel that had now cleared. How she is in customer service is beyond me, she has no business in hospitality. Booking.com has assured me they will get my refund to me, though the hotel was not answering them. This is no way to treat guests! Ill never stay at Hilton again after this. The hotel was also just ok. Beds not comfortable, ac couldnt regulate, floors felt sticky. Stay somewhere else.
