Exceptional

Unless there is an exceptional deal on Booking, it is better to book it directly with Hyatt and get a better deal. A $30 Destination Fee is included and there is a discount for members (just sing up for an account to join a club) and a bundle with valet parking or breakfast, no hotel fee.

All great except uncomfortable bed

Stayed here for a game at crypto arena which is great as its right next door. So very handy. Very old school quirky building. Room was spacious Great staff and service

Excellent service, excellent room, excellent memory

The stay exceeded my expectations and the room was beautiful. The balcony was an incredible surprise and we were shocked at how large it was. I especially loved the fig wallpaper in the bathroom, it took me forever to realize it wasn't a weird palm tree ( which I would have totally nerded out about ). The staff were extremely pleasant and went above and beyond. When my room service was missing an item, they comped me the item and even brought up a complementary beverage. All the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The service at their restaurant was exceptional ( and food was delicious asf ). All that said, the hotel stole my heart when my partner looked into the history of it. We found out that this was the first hotel in the US to be run by a woman named Maude Bouldin. She kept a number of rooms reserved for women to make sure they had a place to stay. She also rode motorcycles and flew planes. For added context, women had won the right to vote only 6 years earlier. Excellent service, excellent room, excellent memory. This will be my new default when visiting LA.

The worst hotel

This hotel is a 5 stars on booking. But in reality, it's worst than a 2 stars hotel. Poor interior design, old crappy and cheap furniture. It's filthy and you can see screws on the bedding. Don't even get me started on the mattress. I had the worst night in many years. This hotel is a joke, misleading and using false advertising. Because it's a Hyatt brand, you think you get the real deal,but you get the worst deal in LA. $400? You expect great quality. Now that I know, I wouldn't even put more than $50. Save yourself from disaster and avoid it at all cost.

Superb

10/10 Beautiful, comfortable clean hotel. I loved the Spanish architecture and design details. Staff was very nice. The only thing I wish was different was a bigger/better gym.
