Exceptional

The room was exceptional. Not only did the room had wonderful views of the Matterhorn, it was spacious, clean and charmingly rustic. The bathroom was modern with amenities and toiletries. We particularly appreciated the free breakfast (amazing spread of items!) and lovely hotel staff. This hotel was our favorite on our trip and we'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean and comfortable with great breakfast

Well maintained and modern in typical mountain style. Staff were all great and breakfast was gexcellent. Free minibar was an added plus. Attention to detail was great and everything was very clean.

Lack of individual temperature control in rooms. It was either too cold or too hot. Have to ask reception to increase or decrease temperature and it is not on demand. ie you have to give them a time when to increase temperature . Soundproofing from floors above was not great. Upstairs neighbours had kids stomping around so ask for a room on a higher floor or maybe hotel can keep families on lower floors. Didnt get a sense I was in a Swiss mountain hotel. All employees interacting with guests were foreign. A bit like being in Dubai, never interacting with Emiratis working in hospitality venues. This is all the more remarkable as hotel Daniela is touting being a family run hotel and Zermatt is a village.

Spectacular small boutique hotel

We had a Wonderful stay, it couldnt have been any better. The hotel is small but very well kept and managed. The room is nicely decorated and complete. The breakfast is delicious and refined with all the necessary items, and the service is impeccable. Location is great, close to all the relevant areas of town and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, really nice location and excellent breakfast.

The floor in the bathroom was really cold. We opted out for room cleaning but when we wanted a refill on the coffee, we were questioned and just gave up on asking.

Really enjoyed everything these last 2 days except for the heat in our room.

Excellent Breakfast Buffet, very clean, everyone was helpful, nice and friendly.

Room was too hot and we had no control of temperature.

Would stay here again

Breakfast was great; was pleasantly surprised at the selection available. Room was clean, and nothing to fault. Hotel gave complimentary chocolate and mini bar items, and also map of the village/area which was very helpful. It was also fun to pin your country/region of origin on this world map board near the reception. Hotel gave us a ride back to train station upon checkout.

Great place to stay in Zermatt!

1. The breakfast selection was great and delicious. 2. The room felt personalized. There was a welcome card with my family name and a bar of chocolate. 3. The coffee machine and mini bar was FOC.

1. Might be slightly difficult to find if you are going there for the first time as the hotel is up a slope.
