Great hospitality- Suresh ji, Suju ji and their son were very helpful to us. They made us feel at home, making our stay more comfortable. The home made food was really good and for the breakfast, they made good arrangement in the terrace with Kanchenjunga view. The place is 5-7 minutes walkable from the main road, but they helped us getting our luggages.

Great stay at a beautiful and quaint place hosted by a very welcoming family
In all true sense this is a home stay. Mr.Chhetri and his family are extremely welcoming, generous, friendly and helpful. The few days with my family felt like we were at our relatives home. Very tasty food and excellent location in terms of view of the mountains. We got a chance to stay with the local natives and got to know about their culture. We would definitely come back to stay with Mr.Chhetri and family.
It is 5 minutes walk from the car approach road and there are steps. But considering the quiet and residential location this is a very minor issue.

I'll start at the beginning... When I arrived I was greeted with open arms by Suresh and his son, who came to meet me and help carry my bags the short walk to their home. Suju had a very nice, freshly homecooked dinner ready waiting once I had changed, which I enjoyed with a fellow traveller and the rest of the family. My room was clean and cosy with a good shower and fresh linen and towel. The homestay is perched on a slope below the main road, a short walk from Dargeeling centre. Offering a beautiful vista from the roof terrace of the valeys below and on a clear day Kangchenjunga. One of the most picturesque places I have stayed. Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to an injury requiring me to attend the hospital. This is when the Chettri family really showed their caring and compassionate nature. Suresh didn't leave my side until my father could fly out from the UK to be with me in the hospital, and I had frequent calls from Suju checking up on me. The compassion and care afforded me by the Chettri's is something I will never forget. You couldn't ask for a nicer family to host your stay in Dargeeling.

One of the BEST homestay experiences!
If you want a loving, caring, helpful & fun family to stay with...then you've found them! Suresh & his wife Suju have been running their homestay for 2yrs & have hosted hundreds of guests which is no wonder, as their pretty & colourful place stands out from the rest & also because they're just wonderful hosts! They keep a strictly vegetarian kitchen & cook delicious meals for their family & guests & no alcohol is permitted- think of it as a good place to abstain from it for a while The beautiful homestay is in a quiet, hillside village, 2km from town, which you either walk to or jump in a shared taxi to, for Rs20. It has a rooftop terrace (which is great for yoga) & an incredible view of the valley, other colourful houses & the majestic snow capped Mt Kanchenjunga... I booked for 5 nights, but I loved it, so I stayed for 7! Thanks to Suresh & Suju for creating a place for me & fellow travellers to come to & feel at home (when we're 1000's of miles away from ours)

The one & only thing I can mention is that you need to be ok with walking up hills as its 30mins walk into town or 7mins walk to a shared taxi to town.
