Great vacation and impressions, top ski area and "wow" high-street shopping opportunities!
the view over Matterhorn was absolutely great - snapped pictures of it every morning.
perhaps the fact that the hotel could not arrange for lunch and dinner, so we had to plan every day for dinner in different places - which is not that easy with so many kids and the big group. The New Year Eve was also quite a pain to arrange on a short notice (we just wrongly assumed - based on past experiences - that the hotel hosting us will have a NY party and we will be part of it; which did not happen). But overall, these were minor nuissainces.

Dream trip of a lifetime. Snowboarding from Switzerland into Italy for lunch!!
Incredible view of the village & the Matterhorn from our room & balcony. Elevator across the street that leads to a tunnel into the village. Sunnegga Lift 150 yards away!!! Excellent Continental Breakfast. Sweet staff that are multi lingual. Quant bar and excellent Spa in basement with hot sauna, steam room and pool/jacuzzi. Excellent restaurant across the street and another up the street one hotel away! Close but above the crowds. Best value & location in Zermatt!!

I like that its close to Murrini Viewpoint and the hotel itself serve spectacular view of matterhorn, you can even view the golden matterhorn without going to murrini
