Rooftop rooftop rooftop

That rooftop is amazing. Very friendly vibe up there. Staff are fantastic too. Also: dependable hot water in the shower in a hostel dorm room! (Like, what??! )

A small thing: Top bunks could have a larger shelf please!

Hostel with excellent facilities and nice staff

The hostel is very well located for tourism in Udaipur. The staff was super nice and offered great activities to the guests for a good price. My 6-beds room was bigger than expected, with comfortable private beds and good bathroom. They allowed me to use the common areas (nice lounge and good sized bathroom) when I arrived very early in the morning. They have a good rooftop restaurant.

The stairs would be hard to use for people with mobility issues.

Lasting memories of a wonderful time in a super welcoming hostel.

The front end staff were so kind and helpful, very welcoming and fun to be around. It felt like family. Love the tours they offer and really enjoyed my sunrise scooty ride.

The staff is helpful and the view from the rooftop is great.

They give you 1x single cleaned bed sheet (mattress cover) and 2x thick blankets which are used by all the previous guest. So you are supposed to touch and sleep on this used blankets during your stay? Upon request of an extra bed sheet (upper bed sheet) I was gazed with surprise by the staff. The rooms are dirty and the toilet does not see some cleaning since a while. It's a cheap hostel and you get what you paid for.

I think the staff there, need more appreciation than they deserve.

What a breathtaking view of Udaipur, and Mantra Hostel is the place one should be at to witness it. Heartfelt thanks to Ashish and the entire staff for their unwavering kindness and support during my stay. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the communal spaces are wonderfully spacious. With all the top-notch amenities and a meticulous twice-daily cleaning routine, it's a haven for someone like me who's a bit germophobic. Ashish's genuine helpfulness and hospitality, making me feel more like a welcomed soul than a solo traveler, added an extra layer of comfort. Once again, my deepest gratitude to the entire staff for orchestrating an absolutely incredible stay.

Some travelers should realize that every country has its own way of life. People enjoy things differently, so it's important to adapt or keep a respectful distance. Blaming the hostel for cultural differences isn't fair. it's better to understand and adjust. Keep the Bucket to save some water, shower isn't for everyone

Highly recommended social place

Staff is super friendly and super accessible, and organises activities most evenings. Location is perfect with an amazing rooftop to socialise, enjoy the sunset or have an early morning yoga solo session Restaurant serves beer (!) and decent international food if you're tired of the amazing street food Possibility to make a card payment although not straight forward. Dorms are spacious with comfy beds and extra bathrooms available in the building

Some tidy details really: After booking you're asked separately to make a prepayment which I found a bit weird as this could be handled directly via Booking which has card details First time I was asked to pay for an early check-in... which I didn't really need (arrived 8am with night bus)
