The Hostal la Palmera in Barcelona has a great location near the market and Gothic Quarter, with easy access to tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfor (Read More)table, with nice amenities such as a private shower and balcony. Some minor improvements suggested are a better key system and noise reduction in the corridors. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Great Location with Friendly Staffs

I have met 3-4 different staffs during the stay. Each of them are so friendly and helpful. The location is great, almost can go anywhere by walking. The shared bathroom and toilet are very clean and well maintain.

I hear everything outside the corridor. Also the whispering from next room.

Awesome balcony, nice dark room. Comfortable beds. The staff are incredible, kind helpful and friendly. Place is spotless.. location incredible right near the Market/ Boqueria, off La Rambla, near metro.

Love our own inroom shower, it would be perfect had we had our own toilet, but nearby sharing wasn't bad at all. Only slightly cumbersome to negotiate the few stairs to the little lift to get to the lobby.. (we had large luggage). Staff was incredible to help with anything.

Location was great. Comfy beds and English speaking staff. Honestly cant fault it for the price. It looks more like a hotel than a hostel.

The stairs haha and I dont trust that lift!

Everything was fine especially the clean common spaces! Staff super kind, nice new furnished room. Great position behind the Boqueria Market, near the Rambla street.

The area is a bit noisy during the night. The heating regulation is blocked and the room was very hot.

Lovely little room, very clean and friendly staff. Definitely recommend! :)

Very clean! Lovely little room, nicely designed and really friendly staff.

Only downside was that there was no private restroom, just a private shower. But there was a shared bathroom directly in front of our room and even though it was shared, it was still super clean! We booked it knowingly, so no problems there.

Friendly Getaway in Barcelona :)

We got a room with its own bathroom and toilet, both of which were very clean. The staff was super friendly, and they served really good, yet cheap coffee. The location of the accommodation is great for sightseeing, as it's close to the metro, just a five-minute walk, and there's also a market nearby (bazaar La Boqueria) just around the corner. Plus, it's far enough from La Rambla that you don't hear any noise at night. Additionally, the beach is just a few minutes walk away, making it a perfect spot for those looking to enjoy some seaside relaxation.

The walls in the accommodation are quite thin, so its best for everyone to keep the noise down, both in the rooms and in the hallways. The nearby bar and market can be a bit lively, so light sleepers might find earplugs useful. Also, just a heads up for taller guests: the beds can be a bit short. But honestly, these small issues hardly matter when you experience the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the convenience of the location. Its a lovely place to stay and these qualities make your visit worthwhile.
