Very good

Excellent location, but quality doesn't match its price

Prime location and also very clean. Breakfast is better than most hostels with good quality albeit few options.

It's noisy: the bedroom door leads directly to the reception and breakfast hall and you can hear people chatting clearly even in regular volume. Bathroom is super cramped (although the shower box is fine). I felt there were way too many problems for such an expensive stay.

The atmosphere was great, the staff was nice and helpful. The location was superb and we had a great breakfast. We would easily book again.

It was a bit chilly in the room and unfortunately the air conditioning could not be used for heating.

the price of a double room for 1 night is about USD 200. A bit too pricey for its quality

the location is great and staying in a historical building is a new experience

the design of renovation for this old building is not very desirable.

A characterful old building in which to enjoy some of Barcelona's history.

Quaint lift, glorious ceiling decorations and proximity to central area of city

Quite a bit of noise one night from waste collection vehicle, as large bins were nearby. Old windows in room are lovely but don't keep out much noise.

Excellent value, superb breakfast, great location, I would highly recommend Hostal Girona.

The breakfast selection was superb. The location was excellent for getting to and from sightseeing. There was also a good selection of restaurants very nearby. Everywhere was very clean. Our room was comfortable and had a nice view of the large courtyard.

The shower is getting a little old, Tile aluminum frame and caulking was getting old and moldy. The toilet seat was loose. The king bed was provided with two mattresses side-by-side. The centre had a ridge and the two individual mattresses we're getting a little worn out, not the best firmness of the mattress. A couple of long towel bars in the room would be helpful since the bathroom is small and can only accommodate pegs. The main light switch at the door could not be turned off from the bedside, and vice versa if you turned it on at the bed it could not be turned off at the door. It is a three-way switch and it is not wired accurately Out room was off the main lobby which was a little noisy sometimes when new guests would arrive.

The location was perfect and the aesthetic of the property as well, the fact that they have kept the architecture of 19th century and inside was renovated.

The room they gave us was a bit small for the 3 of us as it had to fit a cot for our son as well. So we were unable to move in the room. I can understand though that it might be because they did t have any other availability. It didnt bother us a lot though as we went to the hotel only for sleep.
