A room without aircon is a mistake

Great location near KSR and walking distance from grand palace et cetera. 7-11 across the road. Felt safe and was pretty quiet considering. Lots of good vegetarian food places nearby.

I made the mistake of booking the room without air-conditioning. It was a box with just a fly screen 'window' opening onto hallway. I had a fan thankfully but no way to improve ventilation. Bangkok is so hot anyway, every room needs air conditioning. The water pressure wasn't good so the left hand toilet never worked and the shower spluttered. I never saw the host.

Welcoming home

Really lovely lady made us feel welcome in her home right away Well located as close to tourist road but tucked away so it was quiet Clean shared bathrooms We liked that the front door had a key fob so it felt safe

Convenient for my one night in Bangkok

I was staying in Bangkok for only one night that time, so I needed somewhere convenient at a reasonable price. The place is well situated, clean, the bathrooms are shared but spotless. The room was small, but since it was only for one night, that was fine. The bed was comfy. The owner was kind, with a warm welcome. All in all a good experience.

There was quite a bit of noise from the outside, but not something anyone could do anything about since roadworks/building is in full swing in downtown Bangkok. Since I was there for only one night it was OK.
