Very good

Nice villa in a peaceful area

The villa was kept nice and tidy. Big space outdoors, as well as a nice terrace at the top floor. It's in a nice area, in the outskirt of Dehradun, about 1 hour drive to Mussoorie and 30-50 minutes to Dehradun (depending on traffic). Kheem, the housekeeper, was very nice and helpful.

Water pressure was very low for hot water. The mattresses were really thin.

13 of us enjoyed the stay there. Good to have a washing machine and cook ourselves.

It was a lovely villa.

It was impossible to get to in a bus. Very narrow windy roads.

The place has very good reviews but it does not seem to have met our expectations as such.

Place is quite good and a lot of effort has gone into setting it up. However, if you are a person who enjoys going for walks in the mornings/ evenings, this place may not allow you to do that. The approach road for the place is not so great and we had a tough time finding the place.

The caretaker seems absolutely indifferent during most of our week-long stay. He was unwilling to share where to get groceries/ vegetables from. Even though this is a self-catering villa, one expects the local caretaker to be able to help/guide procure groceries/ vegetables (paid by the guest) while the caretaker at this villa had only one answer to everything - nothing is available here and everything needs to be bought from the market which is 2.5 to 3kms from villa. This was incorrect info coz the owner herself rightly shared that a vegetable vendor comes at the door everyday and there were grocery shops 500m from the house. In a new place (with not great access to the city) and with small kids, we were left to figure all this out by ourselves. He did cook the meals well for us once we got all the raw materials but his attitude was not inviting at all. Lastly, room cleaning/ garbage collection was done ONLY ONCE in the entire week. We had to really pursue the caretaker to change linen/towels as well (he was unwilling) but again, once-a-week cleaning when you live with kids was not a great experience for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of our own efforts and the caretaker did not really do anything to make the stay comfortable for us. The place has very good reviews but it does not seem to have met our expectations as such.

I recently stayed at this wonderful homestay for a vacation, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From start to finish, our stay was filled with joy and comfort. The property is meticulously planned, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a memorable stay. The ambiance of the homestay was perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was well-maintained and clean, providing a cozy atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the property, from the tasteful decor to the comfortable furnishings. One of the standout features was the thoughtful planning that ensured we didn't have to worry about anything during our stay. Every amenity and facility we could think of was readily available. It made our vacation truly stress-free, allowing us to focus on making beautiful memories with our group of 12. Despite this minor issue, our stay at this homestay was exceptional. We enjoyed every moment, and the memories we created will be cherished for years to come. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable vacation spot. However, the only minor drawback we encountered was a shortage of utensils for cooking. Given that we had a larger group, we found it a bit challenging to prepare meals efficiently. While it didn't significantly dampen our experience, it's an aspect that could be improved to enhance the overall guest experience.

Disappointing

It was an average stay otherwise but since water supply was interrupted, I would rate this a poor stay.

Good location and good condition of the building

No water we supply for continuous two nights. Very loud machine voice from one of the rooms at the first floor. No water supply resumed even after the complaints.

There was a very good location if u want quite space. Need rest and relaxation so u must go there. Perfect maintenance. All things are available in villa u need to take only cooking row items with u.

I m lil bit uncomfortable with too much involvement of care taker in house. Coz m muslim n stay there with my kids so yes I didnt like his all time entry in house.

Superb

we feel like to extend our stay

We all r 11 member ladies group from south, break fast and food is not a problem . we prepared our self . Care taker Mr. Darshan assisted us for kitchen and washing clothes . its a excellent experience. Mrs Vinita also very nice and kind. we recommend this property for nature lovers and homely experience.

One wash room or one bed room in the ground floor would have been better for elderly persons to use .
