Id return to the property for a few days.

The area, atmosphere, and staff. I had booked a reservation for a dinner in the Vubble Pods. It was a phenomenal experience offered by this hotel. I spent new years on the 10th floor and it offered an amazing view towards the city. Id return to the hotel just because of the convenience of location.

The breakfast at this hotel was average not a variety of food available in the breakfast. Unfortunately, they like to pack you like a bunch of sardines next to each other during breakfast because of the capacity.

Overall it was quite nice, but for the price I was wanting exceptional and it wasnt.

Great location for the international airport terminal where they shuttle you to the very close by footbridges at Newport city where you can enter the terminal 3 very easily and takes all of about 15 minutes (far quicker than trying to go around by taxi). The facility is very nice. Staff were always so polite and welcoming. AJ and the staff at the Port Bar were wonderful and funny and really made us feel welcome. Pool side was nice and kept clean. The fitness room was very clean and had good equipment including towels and water. We left our bags with concierge as we had a late flight and everything was well looked after and the hotel provided us with access cards to used the facilities while we waited which was very kind of them.

Check in process took 1 hour.. it was terrible. We lined up for about 30 minutes alone. They only had 3 staff on and it clearly wasnt enough for such a large hotel. There were a lot of angry/frustrated/fed up people commenting. There was an entire saga around my Visa card which they claimed wasnt a credit card (turns out it was and they apologised later for their mistake later that evening). Apparently they require credit card only (which mine was anyway - it has both credit and debit accounts on it). By the time we had sorted everything out we had been at the check in line/counter for over an hour. The person serving us didnt seem to know what was going on with any questions we asked. They were kind enough to give us executive lounge access which we were initially excited for but when we arrived there there was very little available and the place was messy. Food all over the floor. Couldnt enjoy a glass of wine for our arrival for example. I just wouldnt recommend lounge access if you think youre going to get anything special. Honestly, go for a room with half board included and you get access to a heap of food and alcohol is included for your main meal (lunch or dinner) plus a pretty decent breakfast buffet with a variety of cuisines to choose from. The booking.com room description states there is a coffee maker in the room which I assumed was a coffee machine. There definitely is not you get a kettle and some average packets tea/coffee. No milk is provided to put in your coffee. There is nothing in the minibar. 3 small bottle of water provided but no direction about where to get more without having to ask for room service (which as with everything with this hotel has an associated cost).

It was okay. But a little disappointed with the pool on our second night. My daughter enjoyed our stay. And thats what

I love how big the room is. Very comfortable, we are a family of 3 with a toddler. I love the swimming pool. Hotel staffs were nice and approachable.

However, the pool was supposed to be a heated pool, but i think they change the temp on the night of dec. 31. The water was cold considering the cold weather. My husband and I thought that maybe the hotel wanted the people to get cold so nobody would swim, with that, the pool wouldnt be crowded. Hahaha we paid DOUBLE the usual rate for that? And the bathroom, its stinky and smells like urine. Like seriously. I wanted to ask for some zonrox, so i could eliminate the odor. But i just ignored it, i wanted to have a stress-free staycation.

The facility and the room

I didn't like asking for an extra top sheet at 930pm and then getting a knock at our door and phone calls to deliver it at almost 1am!! Why would ANYONE think that is acceptable? Ruined the stay at this hotel with poor night staff service. Last time we stay here because of this.
