The staff was really exceptionally helpful. Extensive breakfast buffet with choice of Asian and European food. The beach has fine sand and gently slopes into the water. There are sufficient recliners and sitting possibilities in shadow in the beach area. Our villa had a small private pool, ideally for kids to play in with full privacy. We also liked the big stone thai bathtub in our villa. Everything was well maintained and clean. We were sent off by a car of the resort to the ferry and even picked up at the mainland and brought back to the waiting area of our ferry company.

There is one restaurant in the resort and another one or two within walking distance. If you want a different choice, you need to go by motorbike or "public transport". This was not a problem for us, but you need to be aware. I also assume this is a general issue on this island as the small main road stretches through hilly area and restaurants are distributed along this road.

Nicely located hotel on a beautiful island with very friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Good location - the beach is nice there and rooms are pretty spacious and comfortable. Liked the private plunge pool, was lucky to get rooms that were pretty secluded. Staff were very friendly.

Compared to other 5 star hotel experiences the service wasn't quite as attentive and the stay didn't feel particularly "special". Food in general could be better. A little pricey for what it is but would still return.

A must stay when in Koh Kood

We loved it here and we are definitely coming back. We were supposed to stay in Koh Kood for 8 nights and then move on to Koh Chang for another 6 nights, and so we did. After spending 2 nights in Koh Chang i called back to Highseason and booked another villa and came back for another 3 nights. The location is central, the beach is impeccable, the villas have great vibe and the stuff is warm and helpful. I wanna thank everyone for making this holidays perfect for our family and promise we will be back soon. Special thanks i want to give to Ice, the driver/butler/gentleman who made us feel like family. See you soon Highseason.

Good stay in Koh Kood but too expensive - not 5 star worthy

Of course the location right by the beach was great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pool was stunning too! Houses are great size and everything clean and nice. Bed couldve been bigger

All in all we didnt think this was close to a 5 star hotel. The amenities were a little old. The gym was almost not usable because every other cardio equipment was either too old or simply broke. The breakfast was continental with a lot of flies involvedI asked for some vegan options a week beforehand and they reassured me they would have it, but did not. Also some of the seats were dirty because of the birds that came usually after people left their food on the table. All in all its a good hotel, dont get me wrong. But it was so much more expensive than another 5 star hotel on Koh Chang we had and compared to that it was more like a 3-4 star service. We expected more. Nevertheless a good hotel to stay at. Just wouldnt pay that much for it anymore

Nice stay

Very beautiful resort, rooms design is very nice. Breakfast selection and quality was very good with freshly squeezed juices and good coffee. Nice big pool , comfortable sunbeds. Lunch and dinner menu quality was also good . Long sandy beach good for walks and volleybal , kayaking .

Staff was not always pleasant . Breakfast and reception yes , somehow lunch and dinner staff rarely .

Perfect stay - if you ignore the mess-up regarding the booked room vs room recieved upon arrival.

Gorgeous location, beautiful and well maintained garden, lovely beach, excellent pool villas, very friendly staff, good food in nice restaurant, excellent service in every respect.

We had booked more than 3 months in advance a Grand Pool Villa and the booking was confirmed. Only upon arrival at the hotel we were told that there was a problem with the availability of the Grand Pool Villa due to the unexpected demand of VIPs and that they have to change our booking from Grand Pool Villa to Delux Pool Villa. They offered us a not unreasonable (but certainly not generous) discount for that mess-up on food and beverages consumed or other services used at the hotel during our stay. Question: Why were we not informed in advance that the booked room had to cancelled? When we checked out they forgot to deduct the discount offered for the downgrading from Grand Pool Villa to Delux Pool Villa and only corrected that after we pointed it out to them. It was a new experience for us to receive a down grading of the booked room upon arrival. There is certainly quite some room for improvement in the reservation office and accounting department as well as in hotel internal and communication and communication with guests.

This hotel is truly wonderful. The service is exceptional - friendly, genuine and they sometimes answered our questions before we even had to ask them! The hotel is set in such a beautiful and well maintained space. The lodge itself was very aesthetically pleasing and very well appointed. The bathroom was particularly nice with lots of natural lighting and a large bath. The outside space within the lodge was also lovely and the slightly cooler private pool temperature made it perfect for cooling down after the beach. The large central pool is great for swimming lengths and is fairly quiet throughout the day. The beach area is a lovely space to unwind and relax. The sea is so clear and warm, truly a beautiful area. The buffet breakfast was vast and tasty.

The gym equipment is very old and some of the machines no longer work. The yoga mats are a little old and past their best. Free weights only go up to 10kg. But it was better than nothing. There are a limited number of loungers by the beach and they tend to fill up in the morning.

Relaxing hotel with private villas

Really nice hotel complex with lots of space. Large swimming pool. Luxurious villas with private pool. Good sized buffet breakfast. Attentive staff. Free use of kayaks and SUPs. Beautiful sunsets.

Disappointing dinner-restaurant. Housekeeping spent max 5 minutes cleaning each day.

Great stay at a good resort on a remote island

The sea was crystal clear. The resort paid attention to details like providing San Pellegrino, sparkling wine, and freshly made juices at the breakfast buffet. The paper napkins were thick. The illy coffee machine in the room was another nice touch. I loved the use of bamboo and straw roofs in the Thai architecture and the tropical feel of the gardens. Sunsets at the beach were amazing and made more enjoyable by the sundowners served by the attentive and hard working staff at the beach bar. The resort's location close to a mangrove forest made it possible to kayak into a peaceful estatuary all the way to a waterfall. We were at the resort during low season so had lots of attention from staff and no issues at all with having sunbeds close to the beach.

I'm not a fan of terrazzo pools, which is how all pools are constructed. We kept having problems with our TV remote control which wasn't solved by changing batteries (TV is big sized though). At high tide there is limited beach...
