    I've stayed here before as a solo traveller, and this time my partner and I stayed a couple of nights. The bed was comfy and our room was clean. The bathroom was clean and we enjoyed the hot showers. Check-in info was sent before we arrived and it made it easy to access our room. There's a kitchen with some utensils and pots/pans for your use, although these are limited, so I would recommend bringing your own.
    Unfortunately, there were a couple of guests who decided to cook dinner around 10pm. A lot of banging and loud music. As the house can have several guests booked in at the same time, bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

    We didn't stay as they property did not meet out expectations for the reasons listed above.
    I booked this accommodation thinking that "Shared" meant shared with the landlord/property owner. In actual fact we were expected to share a small three bedroom house with one small kitchen, one bathroom and toilet. One of the other guests also had a dog. As our dog was elderly and unwell this wasn't an option. I think it should be made clearer to people new to this concept what SHARED actually means.
    It was not a particularly attractive looking location.

    There's no air conditioning in every room, and the fan provided is of subpar quality and not available in all rooms.

    Dog friendly and nice host.
    Paula was lovely and we also appreciate somewhere that allows dogs! We had the largest room which was comfortable, had air con and a TV. Bed and pillows also nice and room was clean.
    There are four rooms in the house and it was fully booked so had 6 people at one stage which felt a bit much, but aside from one night of someone drinking outside late, everyone was quiet and respectful. Kitchen is the original so definitely needs some TLC.

    My regular place to stay when ever Im in the hawks bay. Lovely hosts, clean and comfortable
    Clean and very comfortable bed. Lovely hot shower
