Very helpful and friendly

Delicious meals!

It is a steep walk up the hill. I liked it, but honestly I am sure that others wouldn't. This was my only caveat about the stay however.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The location was close to Kandy town and the viewpoint. The homemade breakfast was really good! Wifi, when available, was good.

Wouldn't rate the highest for cleanliness but it was manageable. We were put in a different wing of the house which had no wifi access point. We had to walk to the other wing to get good Wifi. Location is a little uphill on a winding road which made it a little hard to reach in darkness using a minivan, but it was more straight forward during the daytime.

It was very beautifully located a little outside of kandy and the staff was very friendly and helped us with organizing a driver and traintickets. The were very interested and welcoming from the first minute. The breakfast was really rich and very sri lankan.

All good, except the rooms were a little small for 4 people.

Great place with the sweetest hosts!

The host family is super welcoming and give you lot of suggestions about Kandy. The breakfast was delicious and very filling - if you are a foody, this is definitely a plus. The beds are comfortable and the room is super quiet because you're at the edge of town. Love the cooler temperatures also - bring a sweater!

If you are dependent on wifi, then maybe go someplace more central. The wifi was not great, and barely reached my room so I would often have to sit in common areas to get the faintest hint of internet. Even cellular data does not reach this accommodation well, so if you plan to work remotely, or are reliant on internet go somewhere downtown Kandy instead. Also I was not able to figure out the hot water in the bathroom, somehow the heater never turned on despite all the buttons should be working :) Not a big problem for me, but just so you know

Peaceful surroundings, a super caring and kind host family that is happy to help you with anything you need/ want to

Really peaceful and away from the busy city, up in the hills with a beautiful view into the green surroundings. A balcony to sit on and have a tea and enjoy the view. I even saw fireflies there on the last evening spacious & comfortable room. A big common room where I met other travelers and was able to exchange recommendations/ share travel plans :)

Nothing really. It is a bit far up but you can easily get a Tuktuk for less than 500 rupees to take you into the city and back up, the host family is also happy to assist in getting a driver

Nothing like photos

The hosts are super accommodating and helpful. I changed my reservation 2 times and they had nothing to complain about. They gave me assistance in organising a tour to the Ambuluwawa tower with a great and reliable tuk tuk guy. The nice lady host had her son helping me anytime she couldn't because of poor English, she talked to local guys to have me well taken care of, even when I was leveraging a service not provided by them. She also gave me extra snacks anytime I got hungry! They have not the best communication but they do everything they can to assure that you are always safe and sound, lovely!!

The place is really bad, nothing like photos. Mold on the walls, old forniture, bed sheets hanging to dry everywhere. Yellowing and stained towels, dirty sheets: there was a big dark spot on one of the sheets that I hope was just ground dirt but it didn't make me feel comfortable at all. Small room, smelly mosquito nets, old bathroom, dripping sink, cold shower. Breakfast is average and dinner poor. I'm not rating this place 1 just because of the beautiful hosts.
