The staff and ambience of the hotel were equally wonderful.

Absolutely beautiful! Would return in a heartbeat, especially during the festive season!

Absolutely beautiful hotel! I think being there over New Years meant we were very lucky, as we got all the beauty of the Christmas decorations and the wonderfully festive atmosphere! It was beautiful and cosy from the minute we walked in. Check in was smooth and easy and even though we arrived early and our room was not ready, the wonderful lady behind the desk took our bags into storage for us. When we returned, the room was ready and perfect! It is very comfortable and everything you could need. The bathroom was lovely and having both a shower and a bath tub was wonderful. The extras of the bathrobe and slippers were a very welcomed treat! We travel a lot and sadly, have often struggled in hotels with noise in rooms, usually always down to having very noisy neighbours! Our room not only had the most comfortable bed, but it was beautifully quiet! We did not hear a sound all 3x nights! The breakfast was fantastic. Plentiful, lots of choice and all presented very well. The staff at breakfast were a delight! The bar area is gorgeous and the ambiance wonderfully festive, as well as warming and cosy with the fireplace. Fantastic location of the hotel also has to be mentioned! It is right in the centre and a short walk to all major sites. We were in the thick of all the hype with all the new years crowds however, the hotel was the haven to come back to. We were both extremely sad to leave and cannot wait to return next year. Could not fault this hotel!

One evening at the bar sadly, it took half an hour to be served and we only served after I went up to the bar to order. Would not have minded however, everyone around us had been served in good time. To mention however, the follow evening we did not have this issue and the staff were lovely.

Good mid-range hotel

Plush mid-range hotel in a good location, close to the main attractions. Public areas in the hotel are spacious and lavishly decorated, the bar in particular, which has a lot of ambience and is very popular.Excellent buffet breakfast.

Our room was a little compact and had no view, disappointingly. I would have expected more for what we paid, but Bruges is an expensive place, especially over New Year. I also found the narrow twin beds very uncomfortable and didn't sleep well. Overall, however, the hotel was fine, taking everything into account.

A really nice break with friends in an ideal location to explore Bruges.

Great location for exploring the city, just a stones throw from the market square. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was really comfortable.

A luxurious hotel stay in Bruges

We absolutely loved staying in Grand Hotel Casselbergh. It really felt like an exclusive 5-star resort but with affordable prices. Everything from the decor, food, staff and service was incredible. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel and all the staff working were fantastic. Our advice to other travellers would be to skip Brussels and come straight to Bruges and stay here. We will be back the next time we visit Bruges!

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location

A beautiful hotel right in the heart of Bruges. Location is superb making your stay so convenient for everything in Bruges. Absolutely love the decor which was extra specially decorated for Christmas. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lounges and bar areas are immaculate and staff are pleasant and helpful, we enjoyed evening drinks and afternoon coffees here. Breakfast is excellent and beautifully presented. This hotel is a touch of luxury but offering great value for money. This is our second time here and would definitely stay again

The only thing I would say is that the breakfast offers very little choice for dietary requirements. One of our party is vegetarian and has a dairy allergy and there was very little on offer. Perhaps offer at least one vegan pastry, dont cook the mushrooms in butter, offer an alternative to scrambled eggs (fried) or make them with a dairy alternative.

Lovely hotel well located

Our room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable. The lobby, bar, and rooms for relaxation were just beautiful. The location was fantastic, right alongside the market square.

The TV was a bit small for the room and ensuite a little tight, but the room overall was great.. The gym facilities were average.
