Superb

The host family is really nice. The room is modest but enough. It's a quiet place, so you get to rest. The bedsheets were clean. I checked in at 5am, just called the lady and she opened for me. 1min form the main road, 2 from the beach, 15mjn walking from the big beach. Everything is very close. Overall, I would recommend it.

The toilet seat was very loose. The mosquito net could be a bit bigger. For an extra 2usd you can get AC. I couldn't do it without since there is no air circulation in the room itself. But the price for the AC is good and they gave me a discount since, technically, I used it only 30h, not two full days.

Perfect place to stay in Negombo.

Great communication, the owner woke up at 3 am to greet us. The place is really clean (bedsheets, room, washroom, common room). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast (4$) was big and tasty. A/C is optional (3$). The place is in a quiet neighbourhood, with everyone being so nice and welcoming. All you will see are smiles and greetings from this residential side. Its a 3 minutes walk to restaurants and 5 minutes walk to the beach. For this price, you have quality and peace.

The hospitality of the Owners is sublime. The breakfast was too much and so good. A hot shower that worked. The whole place is clean a bargain if you see the price. Recommended. Beds are a bit short for Dutch people, but that's more my problem. Would come back.

When we asked about the airport shuttle they told us it's 20$, so five times higher than the price with PickMe/Uber

The room was very spacious and the owners were so friendly. They made me the most delicious juice Ive ever had when I arrived. They were really helpful in telling me how to get to my next destination. Breakfast was huge and delicious.

Very good

Fine for 2 nights.

The people are really kind. AC works well and it is only 5 minutes from the beach. Breakfast is really nice. We also got a mosquito net for the bed.

The toilet is very small and feels a bit claustrophobic. There was a weird smell in the room with 2 beds (the other room was good), after we opened the window it was a bit better. The beds are a bit hard.

The room was big enough with 2 bed which was surprised and comfortable to stay with my mother , the bathroom was clean and big with hot water facility , the owner prepare us breakfast that was so delicious YUMMM! , i would come back to have meals for sure

Place to feel warm and friendly

It was the first time i travel for srilanka , i booked a room for a place to have a good sleep and relax the night ,which i made was a good decision to stay at Gloria matthews , the warm welcome by the host was so good with a hot beverage at late night to ease my tiredness, I recommend for all 100%

Basic and cheap guesthouse

A large room with 2 double beds, the host was nice and helpful, there's a common area you can use and it's located nearby the beach and restaurants and shops.

The WiFi didn't work properly (but actually it almost never does in Sri Lanka...), the bathroom floor was always wet and the blankets were not very pleasant (it's the type that's probably never washed).
