Unique place to stay. Truly beautiful. Wonderful, thoughtfully designed home created by a legendary architect. We felt very lucky to stay here. Absolutely lovely staff - so kind and peaceful and friendly and this really added to the experience and sense of tranquility and happiness here. Great generous breakfast which we enjoyed in a quiet and beautiful spot.

Almost nothing. The only thing id say is that the hot water for the shower didnt seem to last all that long, but this is a trivial issue.

Private Oasis with an abundance of light

Seriously loved staying in this private oasis, tucked in behind high walls and lit by beautifully positioned lightwells. The white epoxy floor and white walls and ceilings create a beautiful light space decorated with Geoff Bawas collection of artefacts. Feel so privileged to stay here. The Sri Lankan breakfast was beautiful looking out to the courtyard.

An amazingly memorable experience!

What an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and offered so much insight into Mr Bawa's life and work. Highly recommend doing the tour, and opting for the Sri Lankan breakfast! Could not recommend this more highly!

Magical Stay at Bawa's

You don't have to be a fan of the late and great Geoffrey Bawa to be enchanted by your stay at Home Number 11. It is a working museum to say the least. From the design to the art collection on every corner, the historical significance of the place is invaluable. Now if you happen to be a fan of the architect, then there is no greater privilege than staying at his home.

A wish come true!

Everything! This was on my bucket list for a very long time. Spending a night in the very house that the legend Geoffrey Bawa lived & worked was in itself a moving experience. Beautifully maintained by the trust. Every corner, every piece of furniture & art has a story to tell. Staff is wonderful & breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to return to Colombo & stay here again.

A fabulous stay in an house of architecture significance

It was a privilege to stay in what had been the home of the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, and be looked after by staff who had worked for him during his life. The staff were extremely helpful - particularly Rohana The Sri Lankan breakfast was fabulous - delightfully presented fruit and tasty curry and roti

Inspired, rejuvenated, comfortable and happy.

Mr. Bawas residence is exquisite, so artfully done yet thoughtful so as to not take the comfort out of the house. You immediately feel like home. The staff and their hospitality is great too!
