Might be worth it if not being slugged peak time prices

Balinese style, easy walk to town

The sneaky 2.5% surcharge on payment despite no option for non card payment. Being blatantly ignored by the manager when I contacted about above after payment taken as per booking.com set up. Fan only upstairs so very hot - no air con. The stairs would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. Poor value for money- way overpriced for what was on offer and zero service - check self in, leave key on way out and even deal with your own rubbish on departure.

Slight miscommunication in between change of management (number of us staying, how to access laundry, change of rules to spa access etc)

Nice villa but next to noisy campsite

- Villa was close ans walkable to town - Unique and different stay with the outdoor bathroom - Friendly staff when checking in

Our room was next to the campsite of a hostel next door, which unfortunately was loud with music playing late. The room was ventilated which meant soundproofing was minimal and we didnt have a great sleep. It may be different for other rooms but Id rather been told about this before we as we may have looked at alternatives.

Really cool design, walking distance from town

Very beautiful apartment but not quite as functional as wed hoped. The floor in the bathroom/outdoor shower was tough to walk on and it was a little annoying having to walk up and down the spiral staircase to get to the bedroom.

A little disappointing considering the pictures and the price.

Walking distance from town, and by chance pretty quiet (apart from some chanting in the camping next door). Possibility to do the laundry.

The place was a little shabby and did not look like the pictures - it was pretty dark, and the terrace was quite dirty and not well kept. Lights were missing inside (e.g. bed side). The whole bungalow was a bit shaky (walls are paper thin, roof looked like it was going to collapse, and some windows were concealed with old aluminium paper).

The property is quite quirky and different which we enjoyed. It is also in an easily walkable location to the centre of Byron bay.

We arrived after dark so we werent aware there was a shower outside.

Poor experience overall

The Balinese style outdoor bath, and the overall rustic decor was very nice about the property

Our entire stay was ruined because of water dragons jumping around in our villa - dragonfly nestthe water dragons were all around the place and we barely could use the outdoor bath or for that matter any of the facilities. We got literally landlocked in room and were scared to get out of the room to even pee as the toilet was also outdoor. While it may be normal for people in Australia/ Byron bay - we as tourists and city residents are never exposed to wildlifeso its a huge NO for anyone who has aversion to reptilesalso we expect such information to be available on its website which is missing. Not all travellers are alike. Neither hotel staff and nor booking.com listened to our refund request for that spoilt night.

Gorgeous room but very noisy location due to campsite right next door

Gorgeous design, felt like we were in Bali!

SO NOISY. Next to a campsite and loud music until the early hours of the morning. Honestly felt like we were staying in a party hostel. Its a shame as the room was lovely but I wouldnt book again due to the location & noise.
