The stay was complete nightmare

Checking out as the ordeal ended.

The manager who looks in to the property is rude & uncouth. His attitude is horrible, The washrooms are dirty and not at all maintained. You get a reply this is what it is if you dont like then it is your choice. When you order for food they get the food from some roadside stall/Dhaba and charge you exorbitant price claiming that they have cooked themselves.

Superb

The people at French Haveli are really welcoming and helpful. The guest house looks super beautiful and made us very comfortable. The place is in a calm corner of the old city, so it is pretty quiet compared to the rest of the area. We will definitively come back if we are in Ahmedabad :).

Be aware that it is not so easy to reach the place by tuktuk. There is another place with a similar name, so they can get confused sometimes.

Liked the location in the old town and the beauty of the building. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly.

The old town is noisy - we were woken up by motorbikes, drumming and the property's own water tank motor very early in the morning. The property could be improved with more attention to detail e.g. nicer towels. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep.

A stunning property in a beautiful pol! Bansi, the caretaker of the haveli, is attentive and Bento cooks delicious meals! The interior decor is a visual delight.

Extremely helpful hotel manager - we cant thank him more.

The hotel manager Bansi went above and beyond to help return my little girls favourite toy. We we so appreciative and cant thank him more. The building itself is lovely and has some very interesting architectural details and is set in a lovely little back street full of atmosphere.

A gem which needs looking after

A gem of a Haveli. Very kind staff.

Breakfast served 30 minutes after agreed time. Pillows and possibly mattresses need to be changed. Blocked up shower.

HERITAGE HAVELI RESIDENCE WITH TRANQUILITY, EXCELLENT STAY

This is my second visit to French Haveli. The breakfast was homemade by the in-house team lead by wonderful, helpful and joyful Mr Bansi. The Location is fairly easy although one can get lost for a moment. However, Mr Bansi would give best advice and recommendation on three wheeler vehicle, they can get for you. Please do contact him when you book. The whole stay as well the staff were always helpful. Rikhsa (tuk-tuk) are allowed almost near the place, and The staff are very helpful. It is very quiet once you are in the hotel, the room ambiance, cleanliness and heritage style rooms are beautiful, and just outside the room, there is a large dinning table which is communal and used by all the guests for breakfast/lunch or dinner. Outside on the main road, round the corner, you will find a fresh fruit and vegetable juices of all kinds including mock-tail style mixtures. It is not expensive at all and will keep your energy level high. Nope, not paid to say more on the juice bar, just try yourself.

Wonderful location in the old town of Ahmedabad - quiet and nice accommodation. Very friendly and polite stuff - especially the one who did all the cleaning, preparing the breakfast, preparing the rooms - unfortunately we saw him sleeping on the desk of the kitchen desk in the night- very sad to see.

At the end when we paid the bill, we have to pay 2.000 Rs for tea not knowing that we have to pay for every extra cup of tea. Nobody communicate it in advance but that would be better.
